2025/26 Harrison Armstrong

In Paddy Boyland's article from the Athletic pertaining to Everton players on loan, he mentioned the possibility that Everton might pull his loan when Gana goes to AFCON to ensure there's a further coverage in the squad.
Is ending a loan early actually a thing and do we have that clause already in the deal? Otherwise the PL rules seem to suggest it’s only at absolute discretion of the board (V.7.4).

Other things I’ve read seem to suggest recalls can only happen during a transfer window meaning we would be recalling him for the sake of 18 days (3 games) and then couldn’t loan him out again as he would have played for 2 clubs already.

Unless at that point we plan to bed him into the team. Which would raise the question on why we didn’t just do a 6 month loan in the first place.

It'll be already baked into the deal if it's a scenario we think we might need.

I suspect it would be a worst case scenario if Rohl is never fit/isn't good, or we don't have any loan cover planned to be brought in etc.

Paddy didn't really delve into the details but I'd imagine it's baked in the deal if he's mentioning it as a possibility, since he seems to be well informed on our happenings

This England u19 squad would do real damage against many u21 squads.

Some of the names there are already being highlighted as going to the very top - with the likes of Dibling also just 19 there could be a new generation of players to respark some interest in the full internationals.

That Leicester kid Monga will be subject to a few offers next summer for example and others like Rigg (if sunderland go down) will likely move on too.

Great to hear Armstrong is captaining the side.
