Would have preferred a loan move to Europe but I think Preston will be a decent fit for him. Don't think Moyes would've given him enough game time this season. The fact he's preparing to loan him tells us that.

Tbh, I thought his fleeting appearances for us before his move to Derby, he looked completely out of his depth. Think that loan definitely improved him. Looks a real player now.

I think as long as he gets minutes here, which i expect Moyes will give him, then the players he has around him here and the players he will be up against will be a lot more beneficial to his game then to drop down to the championship.

All depends what moyes thinks is best for the lad tho..

If he goes out on loan I hope he goes back to Derby. The manager there clearly thinks very highly of him and he'll get a lot of game time. I'd be more nervous sending him somewhere else and him just sitting on their bench. If that happens he'd definitely be better off staying put.

Like I said tho, personally i'd like to him stay...

Think I would have preferred he stay until January and loaned out then if not getting playing time. At the same time, it's good if he's playing consistently week-in, week-out.

I really rate this lad and hope he stays.
I think he will get enough game time here to develop. He's already good enough to make the most of any game time he gets.
Capable of possibly forcing himself into being a regular first choice IMO.
