Teams with 2 players out of position can also win matches sometimes. It's a good enough XI to beat WalesBen White at left back? Gallagher on the left wing? It would 1000% struggle to get a result.

Shouldn't against Wales realistically. But if so does that demonstrate a weakness in the depth of quality? That team could genuinely lose 4-0.
I reckon Southgate will go regardless of what happens in this tournament, but who would you prefer instead/replacement mate? There were some stories a few weeks back that Tuchel fancied the job.No doubt in my mind he’ll play Foden in some rogue position like right wing with no one linking up or overlapping him, set him up to have a poor game and then make a massive stink about dragging him off in the 55th minute. Horrible vindictive man he is.

I like Potter but he'll keep it tight tooI would hold out til Potter gets sacked by Chelsea and go for him. A proper modern attacking manager, also young and English. Tuchel would not be the right fit, in fact I think a foreign coach would be a disaster.

They did, it wasn't always gung ho stuff though. They use possession as defense sometimes. Not on the same scale as Southgate, he at least has a modicum of ambition and doesn’t fear anyone and everyone. His Brighton teams always went away to better sides and played football.
...would not a rock bottom position, on a very long list of frauds, be a not bad thing?Just to be clear I think Martinez is a monumental fraud too. But Southgate is rock bottom of the very long list.
I can't see Wales even going for a 4-0 win and leaving themselves open. I think they'll try and sneak a win and hope the other game ends a draw. I doubt they could even score 4 against the Everton team that lost to Bournemouth in the cup.Even if they bottle it and play for the draw...and fail...I don't see Wales putting 4 on them
