I would say yes, and the reason I would say yes is because there is no other viable solution - and we all know it.

I grew up in a family that was split Red and Blue. I know friends who are Liverpool fans, close friends. I know all you guys on here have red friends. Do you hate them? Do you **** them off? Are they scum? What about members of your family?

I couldn't give a hoot who sits in my seat from game to game, to be honest it doesn't matter. All it is is a bit of plastic and a vantage point to watching the game. Would I rather be watching Everton struggle? Or would I rather see both teams flourish?

Well unless we can find someone who can afford us a stadium and money to burn, it just ain't going to happen.

So I wouldn't be bothered if it did happen, problem is though, it won't ever happen - reason? Because Everton and Liverpool fans are far too pig headed to accept the best solution under the current climate.

Ghost, mostly my sentiments mate. I want us to move forward not tread water and miss a good opportunity !

Ive tried mate, i cant, the heart is ruling the head on this one, it actually makes me feel a little ill.

Anyone who thinks the groundshare is a good idea should look at the 1860-Bayern deal a the the Allianz Arena.

They both had a 50-50 share then 1860's finances got worse and they were forced to sell their stake to Bayern to stay afloat.

Does anyone really trust the inevitable new owner of Liverpool not coming in with a low offer and the genius that is Bill accepting it?

oooooo think of the possibilities if it was the other way around though.......

Logically, it makes total sense which is why I voted yes. I've thought a lot about this, and while my first choice would be for a new Everton owned stadium...short of winning the lottery...it ain't happening. The football teams in Liverpool can't afford to build 2 stadiums (neither can afford to build one for chrissake).

About 50/50 although we should err on the side of caution with a poll like this. Forums with an international readership are more likely to collate the opinion of non-match goers.

I hazard a guess that amongst season ticket holders the ratio would be around 20% yea and 80% nay.

I'd agree. Possibly even as high as 85% nay in that stat

Very true. I'm a Yank and not a match goer (yet), but watching a home Everton game is on my "bucket list" so I do expect to see at least one match, hopefully a lot more.

I voted yes assuming it was a shared site in Stanley Park or equivalent, not out in Kirkby.
I can look at it far more with my head than heart being an ocean away.

Financially possible for both teams. One truly "great" venue vs 2 "less great" venues would be great for bringing in other revenue (concerts, olympics, nfl games, etc) and only one new stadium keeps the competition away and prices stable.

Better for the city from a tax standpoint. I wonder if the city council would consider a 3 way split (city, club, club). Certainly a great new venue helps make the city more of a destination, and the construction would be jobs for the area.

If you can't stand on your own two feet after 132 years, considering the support this club has had over most of said years, then the stadium is not the problem.

Instead of running to the nearest handout and attempting to be the next person in a long line of make-weights who tried to weasel out of the sh*t by way of a "crisis", luvvie needs to read a book or 50 on being a leader and hop fuhkin' to it. It's high time he stopped playing the victim card, as if he didn't know back when he bought the club that Goodison needed some TLC...fhuk off!

The problem with Kenwright is you can give him lemons but all you get is lemon peel.
