GrandOldTeam Exclusive: Tim Cahill Interview

Ask him if there are any players in the current Australia squad OR upcoming youngsters in Australia that could make a name for themselves at Goodison?

Gday Timmy, McB here. You proved yourself in the one of the best Leagues in the World, you've played and scored in two World Cups. You come from a humble background and have made a name for yourself on the World Stage. You started blossoming as a Pro a little later than most would have given you the chance to, and you have so far steered through the almost routine media targetting of high profile Australian Sportsmen.

Would you say that because your progression was on a wider curve to most footballers, it has given you the grounding to be able to better cope with the pressures of being in the spotlight?

How do Footballers, in particular Aussie national team regulars see the A-League, and would you ever return to our shores to play?

And lastly, could you name any Aussie youngsters you've seen around the paddocks who you think could one day step up for the Blues?

Cheers, McB.

In your celebrations, you have paid tributes to the Samoan people (Hawaii 5' 0), the Victorian fire victims (pointing to a black ribbon on your arm), dedicated a goal to your brother, dedicated a goal to Brad Jones' son who is battling cancer (cradling a baby in your arms), gave the heart sign to all the Socceroos fans (Aus v Jap Aug 2009). These are all very commendable.

Are these celebrations/dedications spontaneous or do you plan them in advance?

Does the team actively work on sorting out Tony Hibbert's scoring problem - and are there any plans to give him a last minute penalty in a game we're comfortably winning to get this sorted (or would he refuse the chance?)
