Well he is interviewed for managers jobs which tends to suggest he is good at his job. The players also seem to like him.

Yes Whelan has, so we can add nepotism to the long list of things I hate about him. What sort of an idiot puts a 23 year old in charge of a football club? In All honesty he is holding the fort for old geriatric Dave, while he awaits his punishment for being a racist.

How do you know the players like him?

As for Whelan being an idiot, how many ex footballers do you know who made many millions after retiring from the game and creating a sports retailing business empire and to have successfully broke his leg in a fa cup final?

Not many. Robbie Fowler has made millions out of investments too. He's still a cock though he just happens to be fortunate enough to run a company.

If that were true we'd have heard about it or read it in a paper at some point.

Sheffield Wednesday midfielder Carlton Palmer is now Director of Sport at Wellington College in Shanghai.

Former Sunderland and Derby County striker Marco Gabbiadini runs the award-winning Bishops guest house in York.

first of all, Palmer is in China of all places?! Very bizzarre.

Second, is that the very same gabbiadani that they recently bought from Juventus and was meant to be a good player?

After finishing football Palmer owned an online estate agency in Sheffield called The Home Game which ceased trading in August 2008. In March 2009 he starred in a Paddy Power TV advert which involved him being in a bath with a football fan. In June 2010 Palmer appeared in a one-off football special of Come Dine With Me where he came in first place and won £1000 for charity. After working in Dubai for Repton School, he set up his own Football Academy in 2012 teaching football and P.E.
From August 2014, Carlton will be Director of Sport at Wellington College, Shanghai.

Are you thinking of Giaccherini who Sunderland bought from Juventus?

i may be getting them two confused haha

there is a gabbiadani in the game now though so easy to confuse the two

Following the sacking of Malky Mackay, Everton assistant Graeme Jones is a 5/1 bet for the job.
Would we better off with him going or staying?
He reminds me of Emperor Palpatine from Star Wars, never hear from him, only whispering into bobs ear then lurking back into the darkness

Well, I guess we can put this thread to bed.

Club captain, Caldwell, been appointed as permanent Wigan manager. He's only 32. [Poor language removed] me, do they never learn?!

if he doesn't want to be here then get rid, ship him out, this is exactly like the other lot with sterling FFS

ah, the old "appoint former player as manager to avoid backlash when you are inevitably relegated" trick. classic.
