Poor Tyler Breeze

He did something like a 3 minute job to Titus O'Neill last night

I mean, he lost quite a bit in NXT too, but at least they were decent matches where he was able to get his stuff in

I really think they need to do away with TV matches less than 6 minutes, unless it's a squash

If you want guys to have a competitive back and forth match, designed to help them both, give them at least 6-8 to work it properly

There's just no way you can have a match shorter than that and not end up with at least one of the competitors looking like a geek

I know Vince Russo hates this post by the way (As he's thoroughly against longer matches on TV), and I'm not saying don't have shorter matches at all. Again, if you want someone to win quickly and decisively over a geek, then 3-4 minutes is fine

If you actually want people to get invested in the mid card though, and allow guys/girls a chance to get their characters and move sets over, you need to give them more time to tell an actual story

If that means less matches on Raw, then so be it. You have Superstars and Main Event, save the shorter matches for that. There's nothing wrong with giving Tyler Breeze and Titus O'Neill 6 minutes to have an actual match with a proper narrative. Even if Tyler still loses, he'll have at least had a chance to get a little heat on Titus and maybe a couple of moves in before succumbing. That + his entrance would actually give Tyler a chance of being a moderately over mid card guy you could push to an IC/US Title match after a couple wins if needs be. It also makes Titus's win seem more worthwhile as he had to struggle that bit more to attain it

Just a thought anyway

I've not read all that but I agree and don't agree.

I get your point that Tyler should be maybe doing a bit better. But then would it not be dead weird if he was say turning up and then beating Lesnar?

He'll pay his dues and get his chances but he's never going to be higher than intercontinental level.

It's sad to see. The guy worked hard to get to the main roster and now he's bottom of the food chain.

Neville and Breeze should push for a move back to NXT.

My point was more that short TV matches like that don't help. They only make both guys look less important

If you give them 6 minutes and actually let both guys tell a proper story, they'll BOTH look better coming out of the other side of it

3 minutes just makes Tyler look like a geek and makes Titus's win seem unimportant

It's why no one outside of a handful of guys has absolutely any heat

Just watched Wrestlemania 31 there again....still loved that main event....such a shame this year's will get nowhere near it....
For me the mania main event should be between your top 2 guys (making the result unpredictable like last year)....
Lesnar should be in the main event simple as, he's the best guy they have by miles....and a rematch with Reigns would have made sense as they never found out last year who would have won....absolutely no need for HHH to be in the position he is, it's a real WCW booking....and it also shows what a lousy job they've done again this year creating new top stars...

Lads, it's fake and for boys aged about nine year olds.

Pack it in, and try and be real men. Do some DIY.

Pack it in Moomsy, we get it you think it's stupid, quit trolling the thread. FYI do some research before making stupid comments, wrestling is for all ages and sexes, TV ratings are broken down by demographics with one of the highest being the 18-30 male. 15-20% of any wrestling crowd is actually children, the rest is made up of adults

What aspects of WWF do you like, the pretend violence?? Do you collect the toys??

The entertainment value, the production, the fact that it's 2-3 hours of the day that I can switch my mind off other things. I haven't collected figures since I was a kid, that aspect has passed me well by being the fact that I'm 31 in 2 months and that figures are ridiculously expensive even for younger fans to obtain these days compared to when I was younger
