really good double episode of Chris Jericho's podcast this week with Batista....Batista comes across like a really sound humble guy, who genuinely loves the business....

To blame PG for what wrestling has become is missing the point. The reason it's so dull is because there's no competition anymore. WWE can continue to force feed us the likes of John Cena and the Bella Twins because it's what makes them money. They couldn't have done it in the late 90's because they would of been put out of business if they continued to serve up such boring characters. If they actually invested in characters and feud's like they have done with the likes of Bray Wyatt and in the tag division, the Uso's then it can still be worth watching.

The PG thing isn't the problem (Except for no blood in cage matches. I mean, it's a cage guys, how are we supposed to suspend disbelief when a guy gets thrown face first into metal over and over and doesn't even have a scratch on him)

For a long time they were botching guys pushes, but they are doing well with all of The Shield guys so far, so many they've got over that problem?

Giving Ziggler a title was also a positive as the fans were clearly into him

I'm just not really interested in the product right now. I'm unwilling to get invested until I know they're sticking with the pushes and aren't going to book the guys into oblivion. I've been burned on so many Zack Ryder's, Matt Hardy Version One's and Damien Sandow's that I just can't be bothered with getting invested in certain guys lest they pull the rug out from under me again

Vaguely remember him from a short spell in WWE. Thought it was late 90s, but apparently it was early 00ies. Seems like he had some violence issues in the last few years, but nothing there as to why he might have taken his life...

Robin Williams was an Oscar-winning comedic genius who starred in countless films and tv shows and portrayed 100s of characters, none of them 'real'. But the suicide he committed was real. Not many people joked about his death and those that did came off looking like dicks. No real difference between him, or a wrestling performer. Or in fact any person who takes their own life. It's really very sad.

Someone hanging themselves isn't really funny. Same applies to wrestling - yeah, it's a 'scripted' performance art but there's been quite a few suicides in wrestling. It's really tragic.

I wonder if it will ever get really good again?

I mean I don't hate it at the mo. I hate bits of it, but I'm ok with it. Like others I thought Raw was terrible on Monday. I tend to record it, read the results in the morning, then fast forward through the show, unless it's a rare great one.

I just wonder if we'll ever see it be great again.

The NXT stuff on RAW was great and real glimpse into what they should be doing more of. An injection of new young talent, getting rid of some of the old guard, and giving some of the midcard some decent storylines instead of crap like AJ Lee and Paige playing pretend lesbians and Ziggler showing nude photos of Miz.
