GOT Wrestle Fest Fan Thread

Cm punk has been carrying on his "shoot storyline" on wwe etc down in Australia the last few days,here he is giving a fan abuse

He is quite excellent. Why is he so underused? As in I hadn't heard of him since like three months ago and it was quite clear he was class.

He seems to have an errr... "history" of it.
 
Punk is ace. I'm a bit annoyed about what happens on Raw tonight but don't wanna give too much else away for proletariat who havnt seen or read about it.
They could have made more of this.
 
I dunno, they could have handled it worse really. It depends on how it goes next:

There's rumours apparently that Cena is carrying an injury and Punks contract actually ends in September. If that's the case, a Punk win would allow Cena time off and continue the storyline effectively - they really should allow him to take the belt on tour to the minor promotions as well. However, a Cena win here will be unbelievably pointless.
 
CM Punk is, without a doubt, the greatest mic performer I have ever seen in the WWF. I never thought I'd see someone better than The Rock or Chris Jericho.

Just watched a bootleg Raw on the web when I woke up... the guy is a one-man wrecking machine on the microphone. Genuinely hilarious.
 
Not watched last nights as yet but read about it on 411.

It's hard to judge what will happen on Sunday. Bit I'm hoping for a Punk win.

Also, I don't know much about this Colt Cabana that Punk keeps mentioning. I'm gonna do some research.

He had Cenas home crowd in Boston actually booing Cena and cheering Punk. That's how good he was :)

Best Raw I've seen since I started watching it again.
 
Punk was incredible tonight.

I mean he's been great for prety much forever but he's the best thing going in WWE at the moment. Its been a long long time since a storyline bought me in like this one has, i actually can't wait to see what happens Sunday and hopefully in the months after.

I'm pretty sure Punk has resigned win or lose will take a few months off before returning.

The safe choice is that Cena wins and everyone is happy, or Punk wins and the MITB winner cashes in straight after.
 
Agree with all the above i just watched last night's raw a few hours ago,CM punk is brilliant on the mic and way he worked the crowd to be on his side was fantastic etc and as ive said in this thread i prefer the "heels" to "face's" and the mic work myself to the actual wrestling unless its a very good and entertaining match,There's nothing better than a "Heel Character" for me,ive actaully been wacthing some of the raw's from the start of 2000 on the website i get the wwe/etc off which was good to watch,punks actual contract has already ended but he signed on just to finsh at MITB but think the same as above deal wil be signed and he will rest before comming back.

I think that's "kayfabe" (see, look at me with the terminology!) and his contract actually runs to September.

Either way, he's simply too valuable to let go. WWE wouldn't push him like this and gift him to another company. My guess is that he has extended his contract already, WWE have covered it up brilliantly, and he'll just take time off.

But I think the time off may be in a way we wouldn't expect. New Japan Pro Wrestling have had a decent link with WWE for beards, and Ring of Honor are respected by McMahon a lot more than TNA. There's a possibility here that Punk DOES walk away with the title and we get vignettes of him defending it every so often at ROH and NJPW for a month or so before he returns. Basically, he takes a break on a much lighter workload.
 
yeah heard september as well,but now or then will do lol,i'll stick to this year its finished,i actually looked forward to that contract negotiations in the ring last night just because it was differnent to what we have seen,even though we off course know it would never happen,be good if they did have a 100% real contract negotiation thing though like that in the ring
