The R Truth stuff is genius at the minute. Taking a boring and generic character and making him edgy was a great move.

Not sure I'm liking R-Truth's character at the moment, but interesting that you like it. Might just take a bit more time for me to get used to.

Oh, and quick mention for Orton and Christian. Who knew they would have such great in ring chemistry. Rivalry of the year for me.

Can't beleive Andy won.

Luke was an arrogant prick....perfect for WWE. Andy hardly sold the Stunner that Austin weirdly have him.

Capital Punishment looks average so far to say the least.

And is it me, or does Smackdown seem way better than Raw at the moment. Having said that, I wish Del Rio was being used higher up.

I'm with you on this but the problem is that Smackdown currently has mid-card talent being pushed to the top, and it's really losing money. There's no in-ring psychology in it aside from the whole Orton/Christian side of it.

So i'm loving a bit of Alberto Del Rio at the minute, so in honour of his Mexican heritage, this weeks Old Wrestler Of The Week is:

LATINO HEAT
Eddie Guerrero - Real name: Eduardo Gory Guerrero

Eduardo Gory "Eddie" Guerrero was a Mexican-American professional wrestler born into the Guerrero wrestling family. He wrestled in Mexico and Japan for several major professional wrestling promotions. In the United States, Guerrero wrestled in Extreme Championship Wrestling (ECW), World Championship Wrestling (WCW), and in World Wrestling Entertainment (then WWF, later renamed to WWE). Guerrero's gimmick was that of "Latino Heat", a crafty, resourceful wrestler who would do anything to win a match. His catch phrase became "I Lie! I Cheat! I Steal!," which was used in one of his entrance themes. Guerrero partly used this phrase in his autobiography Cheating Death, Stealing Life.

Despite being a villain for most of his career, he got over in and outside the ring. Guerrero was widely regarded as one of the most popular, respected and gifted technical wrestlers in history. Throughout his career, Guerrero encountered various substance abuse problems outside of wrestling, including alcoholism and an addiction to painkillers. His real-life problems were sometimes integrated into his storylines. Notwithstanding these issues, Guerrero won twenty-three titles during his career, including the WWE Championship.

On November 13, 2005, Guerrero was found unconscious in his hotel room in Minneapolis, Minnesota, by his nephew, Chavo. He had died of heart failure, at 38 years old. WWE later paid tribute to him and he was posthumously inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2006.

On a personal note, I remember the day I heard he'd passed and can remember being trult gutted. When I first got into wrestling I couldn't stand him with his rubbish mullet and European Title style, but he really won me over and went way too soon.

Here's to you Eddie, Latino Heat!

I think I stopped watching the stuff when Eddie Guerrero died. Might just got a job then since it was always on at 1 am on telly or so.

Just watching TNA Impact for the first time in about a year. God it's terrible.

They defo have some talent there but the whole set up is just wrong. Can't wait for Vince to pluck up the money and just buy them ala WCW. The Invasion time was a great time for wrestling. Even though hardly any WCW guys lasted.

The TNA Divas (are they called that?!) are total filth though. Which is a good thing.

TNA Knockouts.

I compulsively answer questions.

Oh, and considering they have sported the likes of these in the past...

I disagree with you. They're not a good thing ;)

Never watched any of their shows, as I can't find an internet link for them.

Who of the old guard is still active on there? Hulk Hogan?

I sometimes watch the odd bit of TNA,its nothing compared to wwe for me,the very 1st LIVE tna on tv [in usa-i watched on the net] just over a year ago was one of the worst things ive seen and in the 1st hour alone there was more breaks than actual tna including coming back from one 6min advert to say whats up next then Straight to another 6min advert lol,i have a site that shows TNA a few hours after its showed on america tv instead of waiting 5days later to see it in the uk,same site shows smackdown nearly 12 hours ahead of when we see it here, also shows Raw a few hours later if you never stay up to watch LIVE as well as other things

Turned it off now as it was so bad.

I beleive Hogan is still there, along with Jeff Jarrett, Matt Hardy, Kurt Angle, Mr. Kennedy (although he is Mr. Anderson now apparently) and Sting. Not much else to shout about as far as I could see.
Bubba Ray Dudley was there, Tazz on commentary and Brian Kendrick had a fight.
