Lids, caught this on Youtube, watched it all last nite didnt get to sleep till gone 5. Anyway, i'd heard of it before but never watched it. It's a Wrestling documentary called 'Beyond the Mat'. Was a fabulous watch, really enjoyed it. Great insight into the business and how it works.

It's in 10 parts, there all on the sidebar so you can just click on the next part there and then. If you havent seen i fuly recommend.
Also if you get chance, watch 'Wrestling with Shadows'. Just search that on YouTube aswell, all about Bret Hart and the Montreal screwjob, abother fine watch.

Yep both phenomenal documentaries. I used 'Wrestling With Shadows' at uni as an example of how a documentary should be made.

1) Has anyone watched the Louis Theroux wrestling episode? youtube it, he trains with the WCW I think
2) I'm looking after my Wrestler Friends Dog tonight, he has every Wrestling DVD ever, I may pinch one for some old school nostalgic watching. Any recommendations? I'm talking early 90's?? The Hoosier Dome? Ultimate Warrior, Million Dollar man era...

Been meaning to watch that Louis Theroux thing but forgot where you said it was. I'll watch it later I think.
As for old skool recommendations. You can never go wrong with a Royal Rumble from pretty much any year as that way you get to see everyone.
Also have a watch of the Summerslam which was at Wembley Stadium. Can't remember the year or number at the mo, but it has the British Bulldog at his finest and is full of 80s brilliance.

That will be 1992 summerslam, which ive never seen so can't recommend. Well apart from the Bulldog/Bret main event which is class.
I'd also recomend the 92 Royal Rumble which is widely regarded as the best one.

That Louis Theroux wrestling episode is pretty good,Training by Bob Backlund and co and trained hard,plus following them 2 wrestlers think it was going round with their own show building the ring up etc,they need to go back and do another up to date one were ever they might be allowed to if they could that is.

Can't beleive Andy won.
Luke was an arrogant prick....perfect for WWE. Andy hardly sold the Stunner that Austin weirdly have him.
Capital Punishment looks average so far to say the least.
And is it me, or does Smackdown seem way better than Raw at the moment. Having said that, I wish Del Rio was being used higher up.

That's all Louis Theroux does. Yet people think he's some sort of hero. He's a smug tosspot.
Smackdown may not have as much quality in depth, but they got the Viper Randy Orton. I've missed about 18-20 years of wrestling, but for me, he's the only one who can mix it with the top guys from that time. He really is a well put down character. Best in the busisness for me atm.
watched the Vintage Collection on Monday, a tribute to Randy 'Macho Man' Savage. He really was a legend of his time. Superb stuff.

I think probably like most that Luke is/has already been signed up to a WWE Development,i would be surprised if they has not done that,saying that i am glad andy won and i agree with what you say about luke who reminded me of randy orton in that piece monday night in the ring in his ring presence
