They Think It's All Over

Player Valuation: £225k
I just found a post on nufcblog.com which suggests that our old friend Mr. Gosling may have aggravated his knee injury which could set back his recovery.

I can't post links yet, but you can find it here if you're interested: nufcblog.com/2010/08/10/scare-over-dan-gosling-knee-injury/

I have to say, I for one was sad to see Gosling go, and especially the manner in which it occurred. That said, he is not as talented as some fans (especially those of other clubs who haven't watched him regularly) seem to believe.

It is hard to feel sorry for the lad if this news is true though. Let's face it, a move to Newcastle, which often seems to be the deathbed of injury prone footballers, was never a wise choice.

Shame that. I wouldn't wish a setback like that on anyone.

Except Gosling and Newcastle.

Gosling is also looking at more time on the sidelines. The midfielder signed from Everton last summer in the middle of his recovery from a knee ligament injury and made his first appearance as a late substitute in the draw with Sunderland earlier this month.

Gutted for the lad.
