I do not see (envisage) many top Premiership teams trying to steal him away from us.

He has got frightening lack of pace and we have enough midfielders like that already.

Moyes must have seen some kind of potential in him when signed from Plymouth. Give him time, when the boy becomes a man, we will know if he is good enough, hopefully a late bloomer. Took Ossie a long long time to....oh dear....

Play players in their best positions I say!

I dont remember Trevor Steven having to much pace......

Im not trying to compare him to tricky.

But FFS stop going on about pace being a factor in why he's no good..!!!

First of all this lad is only 19

I hope we can rest this lad and bring him through slowly. He certainly has the confidence, and could be a gem once he matures.

Dont know if he'll be a gem, but as you say he is only 19 and deserves a bit of slack, hell even Rodders plays the odd suicidal underhit pass every game but for some reason this never seems to be talked about.

Monty pointed out in the West Ham thread, he can shoot with both feet.

That would make him my antithesis as I can't shoot with either!
As an (another) irrelevant point, he is the dogs knees on FM by the 2012/3 season. MInd you, I did sack all the coaches and get some good ones in 2009.

Makes me laugh out loud with irony ! Half of you couldn´t run round the block without vomiting and yet feel you can sit in judgement of a young lad who´s been thrown in at the deepend and give all he´s got for the blue shirt. He´s 19 FFS.Should not be playing week in week out ,should be on the bench and brought on slowly which will happen when Moyes has options .I thinks he´s got bags of potential .If blooded slowly.
Who put the ball in the red shytes net ?

If he does it again and we win, I will have his babies.* (y)

*Disclaimer. Biologically unlikely.

Ffs is the Goose becoming the new Hibbo....he is still a kid so lay off him.

His derby goal was taken with all the coolness of a seasoned pro and his goal at the weekend was far better than most of you realise both of his shots came from different feet, even Saha would have struggled to get both on target, Jo wouldn't have managed one. The kid has also deputised as a full back, not his fault it was against Benfica but the boss trusts him as do his team mates.

TX Bill is right, bloody Evertons pick holes in everything or is it just us Scousers................LET THE KID ALONE:(

Mate I´m a scouser and an Evertonian and my glass is always half full.

Is a sly fox in the box. Has good awareness in the area to find space. Everytime he's started he gets good opportunities to get a shot off or a chance at goal.
