They were under continual siege for over thirty days, lightly armed, against an enemy that they knew would torture them for days if captured.

No wonder one of them lives on house boat with his dog !
ya exactly mate.crazy the mental stress these lads are put under.end of the day these lads are trained killers to and then at the end of their tour it is just go on home there and play nice civilian.i know most can probably do it but to some it must be so hard.

Hi mate how are you today very hot here today.

I've just watched "Dream/killer" on YouTube. Another American crime documentary that's scary and makes you want to bang your head against a wall.

If you're into natural history this series is superb :

Wild Wales : BBC 2 - presented by Iolo Williams.

The superb camera work brings everything to life, from industrial sites to remote mountain sides.

Plus Williams obviously has a real passion and knowledge of the natural history of Wales.

Both unique and interesting.

Century of the self is about The establishment and leaders try to manipulate us through the growth of the mass-consumer society, based on Freudian theories, in Britain and the United States.

Hard to explain really. It's good though and it's very highly rated.

Bitter lake focuses on Saudi Arabia and oil. But also how shows how the narrative politicians try to craft have become so simplified that most people cannot really see or understand what's going on in the world properly.

It starts off with a meeting between US President Roosevelt and King Abdulaziz of Saudi Arabia in 1945, and goes on to examine the west's increasingly murky dealings with the middle east.

A good parody of Curtis - funny for people who like him, and does actually highlight what I find to be a lot of his flaws

Watched 'Winter On Fire', a Netflix doc about the 2014 uprising in Ukraine. Quite incredible footage, very hard to watch at times, and amazing to see that this kind of barbaric conflict persists well into the 21st century. Fair play to the Ukrainians for standing up for their rights. Recommended.

I'd like to put forward this 30 for 30 documentary about John Spano's takeover of the New York Islanders hockey organisation. Let's hope there isn't a lesson from history here for us....

Watched the resurrection of Jake the Snake. Had a tear in my eye 3 or 4 times during it. Started watching it because I loved wrestling in the 80's but more about one mans battle with addiction. Tremendous viewing. 9 and a half Hulk Hogans out of 10.
