Incredible series, aired on a few channels these days including Quest and DMAX but originally aired on Animal Planet, it is of course River Monsters.

Sniff this Jeremy Wade ! ( 100 lbs plus Goliath Tiger Fish )

River Monsters has a serious rival :

Big Fish Man - Quest.

Czech extreme anger Jakub Wagner, goes to places that Jeremy Wade would have nightmares about !

He's as much an explorer as fisherman and effortlessly cool, you half expect him to pull out a spliff whilst fishing !

Cracking doc on tonight on C4 at 8pm :

Yeti, Man, Monster or Myth ?

Vet, Mark Evans follows up from a previous documentary he did a couple of years ago into the Yeti, during which he identified a previously believed extinct sub species of Polar Bear from hair found high up in the Himlayas.

First one was very good.

Effortlessly cool - Pfft! Bet he couldn't withstand a hibbert challenge either on the riverbank, or on the by-line.

And he looks a bit kloppish too :dodgy:

Wow, what did you do there ?.

It's a place I've always wanted to go to, but probably never will .
I was an officer on a research ship.
It's an amazing place for wildlife. Saw Sir Ernest Shackleton's grave on South Georgia, the book about him and his men being trapped there is worth reading.
The silence is deafening and the whole place is just awe inspiring.
Lemaire channel Antarctica, claimed by some to be the most scenic place on earth. I was lucky enough to go through here a few time to the British research base called Rothera. Not my photo by the way.

One to watch out for - New York Rock at the BBC. ( shown on Yesterday )

Compilation of live sets from bands / artists based in New York.

Look at this for a set list :

New York Dolls, John Cale, Lou Reed, The Strokes, David Byrne, Antony and the Jonsons, Patti Smith, Talking Heads, Blondie and the Ramones.

Could've watched it all night.
