Golf 2025 Season…….

Wow, Jordan finally found his flatstick. Too little, too late, but it seems we have another hat in the ring in two weeks.

Still stunned Dad never played next week's track. The office can't have been more than two miles away.

Tour course this week has been fun. They can score on it, but the rough is major championship brutal and the greens are devilish. The course punishes mistakes without mercy.

Straka and Lowry have been trading punches for two days, with Thomas lurking but nursing a slightly balky putter this week. Several other players have managed a round to remember, but not four.

Mcilroy, Scheffler, and Bryson all playing well. JT back in form with a win and a second. Schauffele back closer to his best. And a few Europeans all playing well - Straka, Tommy, Lowry etc

Got the potential to be another great major. My gut feel is that Scheffler wins the PGA. Has a point to prove after seeing Mcilroy win the players and the masters. I know Mcilroy loves the course but it's hard to win majors and really really hard to win consecutive majors.

McIlroy didn't look like he would lift it this week, but it's also probable he'll manage Quail Hollow with fewer mistakes, and sink more putts.

These days, so many on Tour are good enough, and the putter settles it. If someone rolls it like Brian Harman did for four days, they're nigh unbeatable. For all we know, Rickie Fowler putts out of his mind and finally gets his.

The regular Tour event finishes close most years, except when Rory blasts everyone off the course, so odds are we should have another major go down to the wire.

PGA didn’t allow lift clean and place for some insane reason. Huge disadvantage for the players going out early when the course was still soggy. Including the three best players in the world, nice one PGA.

Lot of big name players not playing very well. Might be another of those PGAs like we used to have with an unexpected major winner

Not particularly shocked to see Mcilroy struggle a bit. Always going to be difficult to reset so quickly after achieving the final thing you always wanted to achieve. Scheffler still right in the mix and still fancy him to win it.

…son sent me these from a tipster he likes ahead of PGA. I like a little interest so backed Hovland and Sam Stevens at 300-1 (I’m restricted with Sky so they only let me have 20p e/w :hayee: ).

Keeping an eye on the scores yesterday and when Stevens had 3 consecutive birdies I checked his odds and he was a general 70-1, except Hills were sleeping on 350-1 (1-4) so I had I got a bit more on. He’s finished R3 on -4, probably fall away but at those prices it’s something to watch tonight;
