Golf 2022....

My well researched bet of the weekend was a fella who’s came close in the last few months and couldn’t believe it when he was 200/1.

Very, very, very early days, but Sahith Theegala is at the right side of the leaderboard and even an each way get will get me a nice return.

A bit cheeky from xander saying he could get that ball out of that Bush earlier. Mcilroy needs to keep the momentum going here, starting to lose a bit of momentum.

I don't know. He started the day two back and ended it three back after one Cameron faltered and the other (and scarier) one went out like a house afire. Like Kisner at Bellerive in 2018, he stalled out a bit on the back after being six under through ten (Kisner started on the back nine that morning).

Last two groups being McIlroy and Hovland followed by the Camerons is a bunch of super-strong ball-strikers that happen to be putting well, which is about what you would expect to be at the top. There are plenty of strong golfers lurking, but closing a big gap in scoring conditions is harder than you would think because somebody is likely to score well. Thomas was significantly aided by the fact that he really only needed one player to fold up to be right back in it, at the PGA this year.
