Gerard Deulofeu

Exactly so I don't see why Roma would be interested.

They need a replacement for Salah, Deulofeu would be way cheaper than Berardi who is another option for them they've been linked with, and if he performs in that league for a season or two (given the pace he probably will do) then chances are they will be able to sell him on to England or Spain for a huge mark up on what they paid

I suspect Monchi wouldn't sign off on this deal due to past experience was my poin not what Roma need. They've also just signed Karsdorp and with Bruno Peres on a perm they can move Florenzi back to RW when he's fit again with Iturbe.

Why mate?

Your assuming Monchi didn't rate him because the manager Emery benched him half way through the season.

Monchi brought him in originally because he obviously did rate him, and maybe he still does?

Remember Monchi at the end of the day is about buying at low values and selling at high - with one eye on taking 'broken' players at the low ebb and spinning them around - see Banega and a fair few others he did at Seville.

Can totally see Roma and Monchi being interested as he has shown he can perform in that league, buying him for say 12-15m and a season or two later he would probably be worth 50% more at least

I can't see the low-high model working on Geri whatsoever. For whatever reason he failed at Sevilla Monchi will be well aware of and if he was available to sign at the £4m we got him for then clearly Sevilla - and by that Monchi - weren't impressed enough to follow up on the loan.

Or Alternatively maybe it was Emery who blocked the deal to buy him mate, we honestly don't know, Monchi would be a poor DoF if he completely ignored the manager.

Guess from me is that Roma are using Deulofeu's name in order to try to lower a fee for Berardi who apparently the new Roma coach really wants from his time managing him previously

Barcelona. Apparently Roma juventus and ad Milan all want him. All massive clubs yet we'd rather keep mirallas and bolasie ( even Valencia to am extent last year ) half a lung or not he's better than them all. Put him inns strict training regime and he's flying

Perhaps. We can just agree to disagree on the links.

id have no problem with him staying and fighting for a place. On his day he can be a match winner and great option to have. Serious work to do on his fitness . Maybe the time away from us may have sorted his attitude out too

Have his mate Sandro there too, bit of an understanding between them from watching Spain

Could be Sandro was asking him about Everton and Geri remembered the positives to tell him and wants to come back with him, could be could be...the soap opera in my head wants it to be!

Geri loves it here and probably more after been away. Suppose we will see . he has a huge improvement to make to impress the manager again. Could be both of them fighting for same place from start of the season

This is a weird one :-( Barca have 2 days to activate the release clause but there's stuff in it that he has to be in their match day squads and he also has to agree to return? His not going to like idea of being 3rd or 4th reserve to Messi, Neymar and Ratboy! Maybe Koeman sent him to Milan as tough love to get fitness in order so hopefully he'll have realised the New Everton is about on pitch performance and not love hearts on instragram and facebook :-)
