Very happy with his performance. As I always thought, you don't play fort the champions 2 years ago most of the season and become rubbish. Solid player, a million times better than Neville so we've improved our team. Job done in the transfer market from Roberto

Very close between him and Naismith as MOTM - Barry was brilliant he has not even had a pre season the tackle that saved a certain goal after TH gaff was world class - the way we played today was a resourceful performance, but John Terry looked lost as the ball was on the ground going forwards - Barry mopped up most things and set us moving a great debut, and more to come - he is a free agent next season and if he plays like this he will surely see his career out with us as he will get a game on this showing ! Also he seems to love the Goodison crowd atmosphere - another Paul Power bargain imo!
