Joey, i'm counting on you to let me know when to give the first cut, weed and seed.
And everything else.

First cut when your lawn is dry - seed when it warms up in mid to late April - weed& feeding May - your grass seed will not germinate on a rock had soil - fork & rake any bare patches - then get a large trug with decent fine compost in it and mix your grass seed well in the mixture and one hand full per Sq 1/2 metre & raking level, and firm with your feet then do an oversow of seed too - water well in & keep the seed moist if you get no rain
It will germinate in 7-10 days - Home Bargain have the cheapest seed for lawn patching up

Helped a mate pollard a willow i planted in his garden as a twig, 27 years ago. Much climbing, much waving of chainsaws about. Despite a lot of the tree overhanging neighbours' gardens and fragile roofs, happy to report very little damage done- and no loss of life or limbs. Stiff as hell today though.

Does clay soil effect all of this..
I missed the timing last year cos it got so hard to quickly.

And because I don't really have a clue, to much money and work and the garden beats me every year..

I bought this Evergreen 4 in 1 stuff because all the weeds that squat in the lawn, but didn't know when or if to use it.

Remember get rid of the weeds more grass seed needs applying after it works sounds like yummy need a complete over sow tbh grass seed will germinate in 1/2 of a good medium if you aerate the clay with a fork first

Yes use that first when it warms up cutnyour grass let it grow for a week & apply it make sure it woks before you cut your lawn again ..
