I remember going to this fixture all the time when Moyes was manager as Fulham's not far away from me. We lost every single time I think, apart from the one time I didn't go and we won, before reverting back to norm when i went the next couple of seasons.

I think the worst was after the Fiorentina match, where we played so well and lost. I was expecting a big performance and had brought a couple of mates along to their first Premier League match, thinking we were going to put in a blinder, naturally we played like absolute cabbages and it was the most boring match I've ever seen.

Still, the term 'once Everton has touched you, nothing will ever be the same' does ring true given neither of my mates have been to a football match since, pretty sure Everton made them hate football.

I remember going to Fulham fa Cup replay in mid-week lost in extra time 1-2
Got home early morning went straight to work like a zombie all day

Why are home games mid week but aways normal?

We had Bournemouth and forest away mid week earlier in the season and would have had home fixtures that weekend

Unfortunately we’ve had now had wolves recently and Bournemouth and Burnley coming up, hasn’t helped that Leeds and united also move to Monday nights

I used to love the odd midweek game at Goodison, felt like an extra, a bonus, under the lights and all that. You’d get maybe 2 a season if that

Now with them having extra international breaks, fa cup weekends purely for the cup during quarters and semis (but not the final strangely) and a summer tournament it’s all meant more midweek games, and we have had a good few in a row alongside Monday nights.
