Nebbiolo

Valuation: £108 million
Anyone like Frank Zappa? I admit that some of his experimental stuff is hard on the ears, but the rest of of it, the rock and roll, is fantastic. And nobody plays (or played) guitar like Frank.

If you like music, and complex rhythm, check out the link. It kicks in at 1 minute 36 seconds. Amazing stuff. Zappa was a true musical genius.

Dunno what it is. Very fond of Velvet Underground but Beefheart is a little too weird for me. I often hear that Trout Mask Replica requires numerous listens so perhaps I should give it another few goes *shrug*

I used to like him when I was younger, but it was as much to do with him being weird and taking acid all the time, as it was the music. Trout Mask Replica probably does require a lot of listens, more than I ever cared to give it. To be honest, I found it painful to listen to. In my opinion, the best album was Safe As Milk. It was altogether less arty than the later stuff and heavily influenced by the Blues. I'd recommend it if you've got spare tenner hanging around your pocket.

Zappa you probably had to be there to understand properly.

Used to love some of his stuff but not listened to anything for years.

Montana sticks out as a classic for me...

"I might be movin' to Montana soon
Just to raise me up a crop of
Dental Floss"

Quality, given the right chemical intake.

'Ship arriving too late to save a drowning witch'
'Live at Roxy and elsewhere'

Some amazing stuff on those 'Be-bop tango' is wild

I was a big fan of Little Feat for years before I found out that Lowell George and Roy Estrada were original members of the mothers of invention
