I don't disagree but the constant mistakes Lampard makes does my head in, our midfield has so much space, players are allowed to just waltz through our defense, we might be crap and we might be destined to drop anyway but a more experienced manager can organize us and give us a fighting chance. I'd love to be wrong and we give Lampard the Southampton game and we win and go flying up the league but 12 wins in 42, 9 league wins says it all. Without us the fans giving him everything he will struggle to even keep us 18th at the moment.
And I'm not defending his mistakes for a second, if he gets sacked he'll have no complaints.
But what's going on currently is for bigger than making one change. The squad is seriously lacking any kind of quality up top and that will literally kill any manager.
Hear me out here for a second mate as this is a very real scenario
Lampard gets sacked tomorrow
Players are gutted as they're behind him, they feel they're doing all they can ( they just aren't good enough and need some new players to he'll them out )
New manager comes in (let's say Dyche as an example)
5 games in, 1 win, 1 draw, 3 defeats.
Do we sack him and twist again with games running out? Honest question. Do we just keep twisting? Do you trust this board to make the right appointment?
Now also, on the flip side we could sack Lampard, get a better manager in, get 3 good players and start playing good football and move up the table. But that would mean the board making about 3 correct decisions on the spin and I don't trust them to. Do you?
Just opinions though, throwing different suggestions out there and the ones who can make the decisions (right or wrong) are currently using their fat arses to sit on their fat fingers for as long as possible.
