No. I never put my faith in Benitez, I gave my support to him as he was the Everton manager. But he had to go, because what use is supporting a manager who is being undermined so much that the effect on the team was going to hand us a near certain relegation?
Some people need to hold their hand up and take responsibility for their actions.
You absolutely, unequivocally put your faith in Benitez, let's not try and rewrite history here. You and a handful of posters on here sang his praises for months while we dropped like a stone, crying £1.7m & injuries every time you were questioned.
The more discerning followers amongst us saw he wasn't the right fit, knew he would take us down and made our voices heard. The only people who need to hold their hands up and are the pro-Benitez 'fans' (a bit like the kopites singing his name).
If we were all in unison maybe he would have been booted a few games before he was and we wouldn't be in this situation.
So what I'm saying in a nutshell is, just admit you were wrong.
