Had an opportunity to stage a justified protest but the majority stayed to support the players even after Everton went a goal down the fans continued to back the team and one of the rare benitez wins occurred in conjunction with the fans

Big night game against a top team. I expected nothing less. And the backdrop to that game was the 27 minute walk out stuff...which made the place even more determined to get involved.

You absolutely, unequivocally put your faith in Benitez, let's not try and rewrite history here. You and a handful of posters on here sang his praises for months while we dropped like a stone, crying £1.7m & injuries every time you were questioned.

The more discerning followers amongst us saw he wasn't the right fit, knew he would take us down and made our voices heard. The only people who need to hold their hands up and are the pro-Benitez 'fans' (a bit like the kopites singing his name).

If we were all in unison maybe he would have been booted a few games before he was and we wouldn't be in this situation.

Moaning about the style of play when we are desperate to avoid relegation. Never change big oil.

People get me confused. I don't care what the style is if it is effective. When I say we aren't playing well I mean we aren't playing in a way that is likely to win a majority of matches.

Trying to scrape points is the only thing that matters at this very moment. Literally the ONLY thing.

I doubt a single person on here (apart from you) cares whether we do it with 20%, 10% or even 5% possession. Or if all our goals are scored via deflections, or dodgy bounces.

Now isn’t the time for pretty patterns of play and free flowing football. That can be worked on in the summer.

We don't have to keep him around because of this though is all I'm saying.
