Holgat and Keane cannot play against quick mobile forwards who will punish them (see Palace, spurs) They do well against grocks - that is the meat and potatoes they were brought up on so we just need to play them as horses for courses. Frankly for more mobile forwards I'd rather see Godfrey and Branthwaite out there.

I’d have no problem with Richarlison or Mina going. Mina is injury prone and can’t be relied upon, and the Richarlison is massively overrated. Works very hard but is far too greedy and no end product, runs into dead ends, would take a decent bid quite happily.

Hopefully he can find a balance between pressing and being defensively sound. There really aren't that many options - previous managers have tried pretty much everything and found nothing that really works.

The other thing he really needs to do is get DCL playing to a decent level. If he hits even a little bit of form it could make all the difference.

I didn’t know this. In that case I can only deduce that it was 100% Moshiri’s decision to bring Alli in as the agent was probably in his ear at the same time as we were tying up the Lampard deal.

That game was played 2.5 days after a gruelling emotional PL game and it was a fixture that wasn't crucial to our season...in fact it could have destroyed our season with key player injuries.

I put no weight whatsoever on that defeat.

The players Lampard have kept faith with have handed us very good performances of late against Brentford, Leeds, Man City and Newcastle. If that level of performance is reproduced then we will get out of the position we're in.

Bringing in kids and inexperienced players into this scenario would be appalling judgement.

Mykolenko for £20m absolutely screams agent/moneymen favours as well. I wonder how many of our signings have been made because someone at the club actually wanted them.

The central midfield and fullback positions will be our crutch until we have starters in all of those positions. We will never be able to control a game consistently until we rectify that.

Do they all need dropping? I don’t think Godfrey and Doucoure do, they havnt been great but I don’t think we can consider dropping them at the moment.

Then why all the talk of not showing bollocks if he cant follow up with real sanctions for playing bad? Why should the players have that ringing in their ears? They know he cant do anything. In fact, it only makes Lampards authority weaker.
