If I were Lampard I'd be giving ultimatums. I'd say if you don't get me some half decent additions then I'm walking. I genuinely don't believe this squad will survive another season in the top flight in its present state.

The argument regarding his managerial acumen is irrelevant if he isn’t backed. You can’t have a squad that stinks of rotten apples which then sells its best player and expect the manager to do a job if he can’t replace players

I would be too, he’s being set up to fail. I’d be on the phone to Thelwell (not that it’s his fault either), and saying if I don’t get X, Y, and Z within the next 2 weeks I’m off because this lot are going down. He can’t afford a relegation on his CV.

I think he needs to stop changing formation especially when it comes to 4 or 5 at the back. changing between 4 or 5 at the back is a massive change in system and the players can't even nail the first one. It changes the game speed and passing angles, just stop doing it, we are either 4 or 5 decide now.

Can’t imagine he wants a repeat of last year. If we are going down the “scrape by with what we have l” route then go and get fat Sam so the season won’t be too traumatic and then resign Everton to being perennial bottom halfers for the next decade.

This is worse than the Mike walker days and under Peter Johnson for many different reasons. 500 million later and here we are net spend thus far over 3 windows of 1.5 million, sold 2 of our best players with no end in sight. I wouldn’t be surprised if the stadium build gets shelved soon enough which I think would put the cherry on what is a very big cake of sh!#

Can't wait until Thelwall has to tell Frank not to play Dele soon enough too.

Tbh mate is there a formation other than park the bus thats going to work? I feel a little bit for the defenders because whats in front of them offer nothing going in the other direction so the scrutiny is always on them to keep everything out.
The midfield is as bad as ive seen at Everton.

I would agree if we had not just been slapped by Minnesota Untied who's whole team probably costs the same as one Keane

There is a lot of experience in his support team. A lot. The messages can’t all be bad. Nothing has entered the brains of these players for years. Different people coaching them makes zero difference.

Literally approaching “just play the kids” status now from the first week and hope for the best. If we go down at least they would have got some games as all the “big players” would jump ship next year anyway.

If we appointed peak Sir Alex, Pep, peak Jose etc all at the same time these terrible terrible footballers would still be terrible footballers. If we can’t replace them, there aren’t going to be any surprises in how they perform.

The players are awful we agree on that but he needs to realise how awful they are, stick to one formation, stop trying to look for formation flexibility in players that can hardly pass a ball, he is not at Chelsea now.
