PRESS CONFERENCE
Sky Sports: With Sean Dyche unable to get Everton going this season, what makes you think you can do it differently?
DF: I know this club and I know these players. One thing I'm certain of is getting a change in form and I know how to get results, I've done it before and I know I can do it again.
Talksport: Sean Dyche wasn't given enough time to put his stamp on things, do you fear the worst?
DF: If things aren't going right, there's always going to be changes, it's a cutthroat industry and we as managers know the pressure that comes with such a huge club like Everton. I can't comment on what happened with Sean but I know we Evertonians don't want to be around the bottom half. We are a massive club and we have a fantastic fan base, I think we have a squad here that can really kick on. It's not going to be easy, it never is, it's going to be hard work and the players need to be disciplined.
BBC: Realistically, what are your aims this season?
DF: Stability, first and foremost. Secondly, to build on the club's league position and to get the best out of our players to see improvement on the field.
Liverpool Echo: Your first game is away to Tottenham, how is the match preparation going?
DF: We've got an almost fully fit squad, Dele Alli is still a few weeks away from training but we are looking healthy and are able to get to work today to start our plans for Saturday.
