AFC Fylde vs AFC Wimbledon
6th August 2031
It was the same team who started against Exeter taking to the field for the first home game against AFC Wimbledon. Jordan Wilson had recovered from injury and made the bench. Allcock was a threat for Wimbledon down the right and he made them pay when he crossed for Gaffney who had no problem shrugging off Feeney and slotting easily past Dube. Mckimm-Forster found Henderson with a lovely lofted pass but the keeper was quick off his line to intercept. The passing wasn't clickinmg for Fylde and Gaffney had the better of Feeney once again but this time Dube palmed it clear. With 30 minutes to go, Jordan Wilson and Jack Quinn both entered the game replacing Ellis Mckimm-Forster and Christian Hutson. With ten minutes left, Uttridge sent the ball into the box and Jack Quinn headed over the bar. It's a defeat for Fylde. Wimbledon grabbed the only goal of the game and hung on for the remainder.

TRANSFER DEADLINE DAY
Andrew Jolley has joined Birmingham City leaving Fylde after two seasons since joining from Liverpool. Jolley struggled to establish himself as a first team regular playing behind Alan O'Neill and Morgan Feeney. This season he was firmly in Duncan Ferguson's plans but Jolley stated the reason he wanted to leave Fylde was their failure of making the play-offs last season.

It was a last minute deal but Fylde have brought in 20 year old defender Kenny McPherson from Preston North End. McPherson is a highly determined player and has challenged himself to become a first team regular for Fylde. "It's a great honour to play for this club. I'm a big fan of Duncan Ferguson and his coaching style and it was a no brainer to come here and work with such a talented team. I want to taste success and I want to reward the fans of this great club."
Sunderland vs AFC Fylde
9th August 2031
Greg Taylor got his first start at left back and after the transfer deadline day sale of Andrew Jolley, on loan defender Sam Gibson played alongside Morgan Feeney with new signing Kenny McPherson on the bench. Vince Bytheway was amongst the subs after returning from injury. Fylde defended well in the opening 15 minutes but struggled for possession against an attacking Sunderland side. Morton got forward and found Greg Taylor in space over on the left, he crossed into the box and it fell to Josh Ferguson who struck the bar from 12 yards out. Ten minutes into the second half and Jack Quinn replaced Tyrone O'Neill. Vince Bytheway replaced Christian Hutson with just under 30 minutes to play. With 15 minutes to play Jacob Maddox received his second yellow card for a late challenge on Patrick Uttridge, Duncan Ferguson encouraged his team on the sideline with the opportunity to steal a victory. Renaldo Downey came on for Euan Henderson to add creativity in the final third. Greg Taylor pumped the ball upfield in stoppage time and the referee brought an end to the match. It was difficult for both teams to find the breakthrough and Fylde failed to capitalise on the ten men of Sunderland.
DF: A win is always nice but coming to Sunderland in front of forty thousand fans and taking a point isn't bad. We done well defensively but we didn't have that cutting edge in front of goal. It's great to see Vinnie back after his long injury and there are a lot of new faces here at Fylde who will take time to find their rhythm.
