Small font size on desktop went from 13px to 14px which is still apparently a tad on the small side;

Text size is of the utmost importance when it comes to websites. Fonts can make you or break you, so make sure to choose the appropriate styles and sizes.
16px is the minimum when it comes to desktop browsing

There wasn't ever any change on mobile mate, not for any spell.

Sometimes people see people say there's been a change and then the mind plays tricks.
