Font on shirts

Watching the FA cup final and Arsenal have some sort of gothic font for the numbers and names on the back of the shirts. I assumed every club had to use the same fonts.

What should Everton have? A classic Times New Roman, retro-futuristic Impact, Wingdings?

The Premier League mandate the number and style for league matches. No such restriction in cup games, domestic or European.
