A transfer embargo would be pretty bad for a club which has spent 2 years in or just above the relegation zone like.

I hope you smash the charges out of the park and that the independent regulator comes in and exposes the red cartel. Only in this mad world of football can solvent clubs that are forces for good in their communities (ie not turfing out local residents to redevelop the ground) be persecuted in such a way. Only in this mad world of football can a club wearing the "right" colour be allowed to write off £50m in stadium plans so as to meet FFP.

A fine for breaking rules is generally baked into most companies' business plan.

If X club breaks Y rule and benefits to the tune of £Z million, then any fine of less than that makes their rule-breaking to have been worthwhile.
