Still early but i'd hate the thought of paying £10-£12m in a few months time with his current performances.

He hasnt played all season really. Why dont we fans give players more time. You are judging him on so few performances when not fit when you know how well he can play. Its ridiculous. While we are at it lets get Yak out for doing what African players have always done and dont sign Peinaar because he gets injured when playing for SA. Lets keep things in context.

Well the good news is that we are winning, and in a great position to finish the season with our best players performing.

Great chance at Champions League for next year.

He isn't fit yet.

I'm sorry but I don't go with the unfit argument, he was training all season with Valencia so he isn't exactly unfit. They got shut asap, from what I have read he was considered lazy, a charge I levied against him last term. The lad has great skills but for David Moyes to take him off at h/t he had to be bad, and he was. His attitude seems wrong, he has the air of someone who believes his own publicity without delivering the goods, he ambles around the park seldom getting stuck in, he is a luxury and unless he bucks up quickly he will be a luxury we don't need. He wants to pull his finger out ofhis arse and get working (n)

ahhh I hate to say it but everything you've said is completely true. He's nowhere near worth the money.

well, the lad's own destiny is in his hands now rather than in the hands of the third party owners so if he wants to stay at Everton he'll need to impress DM enough to persuade him to spend the money.

Yesterday he was no worse than Cahill or Osman although Osman was looking more like his old self for 25 mins or so. I feel that Manny is playing too deep, a few times he seemed to be mopping up behind Carsley which is not what I imagined his role would be.

On yesterday's performance no one outside the centre backs and Vaughan looked like they were worth tuppence, never mind millions.

In any case, I'm not sure how a midfielder is supposed to shine when the ball is flying over his head for most of the game! DM said he wanted the ball up front quickly - okay, I can understand that logic but the ball kept coming straight back putting us under constant pressure.

A terrible game to watch and I can't wait for Stevie P to get back into the team. Oh how we've missed him!

Ossie was are MoM yesterday by a mile, Cant **** him for that performance. As for cahill, scince xmas he's been really poor.

Manny, We should never have brought him back. I would'nt pay 2-3 million for him at the moment.

I say, give him a chance. Pienaar took some time to settle in and has been outstanding for us in the last few months. Likewise with Yakubu and Jagielka.

Fernandes set up Johnson brilliantly during the Spurs game, he is one of the only players capable of pulling that kind of play off. I think he needs to be played further up, closer to the strikers. He adds some qualities that no one in the side has, obviously work-rate and some other issues could be improved, but lets give him time to shine.

I was sceptical before we signed him, and nothing has changed.

His performances have to pick up a hell of a lot before I'd consider him worthy of the sort of money being banded about. We need the P Lar back in the side
