Would understand it if they viewed him as a future manager but not sure how long they can keep deferring that...

Clean slate required right through the club. People who have been here for more than 5 years should be jettisoned as they are in part to blame.

That said I haven't got a problem with Dunc, I'd like to see him go away and manage and if he does well he'll get his chance seeing how quickly we burn through managers.

No as above why should he keep getting kept on every time a boss fails when he is part of that team failing, living off his Everton playing days should not auto mean he stays and we hear this stuff "He gets Everton" etc, and that goes for pretty much most of the Everton staff for me-should always start with a clean slate when a new boss comes in, not be forced to it looks like be kept by the new man in charge

If Duncan wants to be a manager, Hand in your resignation today and go and find a club to manage. You've been under various coaches with different styles now, Go and test the water because he'll 100% not become the future Everton manager by just being the assistant all the time.

If it’s Benitez, I can 100% see Ferguson being kept on and used as a mouthpiece.

We’ll hear him come out with stuff like “he’s a world class manager, terrific bloke and we all need tae get behind him.”
