i'm personally not going to start flipping out until we at least see a properly translated version (no offense meant towards the OP, but the description doesn't tell me much about the extent of the injury).

and we're kind of assuming a lot about the "3 weeks," if he was expected back for the derby, do you really think they would have said "2 weeks and a couple days," the Belgian national team doesn't care if Fellaini plays in the derby, they were just providing news relevant to their readers (belgian national team fans) and probably gave a rough estimate for recovery time.

he'll have some time to go home now, rest for a couple weeks without picking up a card or a serious injury in internationals. maybe he'll be fit in time for the derby, or he won't and someone else will play. I've learned never to really expect anything from the derby, because the ending is almost alway a surprise no matter how our respective seasons are going.

He,ll be ok. 2 week break for him, rest and treatment and they will have him ready for the derby. Gibson should be back for QPR so slot him in the middle. Either leave Osman in middle with gibson and play naismith, or neville beside gibson and Osman behind Jelavic.

He may be ok by then.

here's hoping, think it could decide the derby if he plays or not. compare the teams on paper and we should have enough for them regardless of whether felli plays, but i think he's provide a major boost if he was declared fit and he would piss all over them

Players always pick up "injuries" while on international duty, they won't risk him against teams like Serbia and Scotland.

I think he'll be fine.

Pretty sure Fellaini wouldn't be happy with that, he's talked about how important the national team is to him and they have a good chance of qualifying for the World Cup.

Besides, he's actually gone and had a scan which has revealed muscle damage, the doctors aren't going to make that up.

I'm not saying they're making it up, just that it's probably not as bad as they're saying.

He's obviously had a knock, so he'll most likely miss the QPR game but I reckon he'll be okay for the derby.

If Fellaini is out then Gibson and Osman is the logical partnership..

but Neville in the derby is always a recipe for disaster...
