Fellaini update

I think Arteta and Neville have proven to be a good option in midfeild. Reamins to be seen if this will be the making of Rodders with Arteta.

I also think Billly could be a dark horse in all this.

No doubt about we will miss the big man hes so influential.

Massively gutted though i was really lookig foward to seeing Arteta and Fellaini together.

I was also looking forward to seeing them 2 in the middle, it will come just next season.

Good point on billy he is a central mid-fielder by trade and has played there alot for russia, i think he captained them i'm not sure but he could end up getting a run more central.

All we can hope for is that he is young and gets ahead of schedual. But ankles are a nightmare.

Makes it worse it was against them, just give me another reason to hate em!!!!!!!!!!

Don't remember anyone on here slating Baz or his team...ever.

You always get the odd one blaming "the training methods" or "the physios".

Anyone would think that David Moyes/EFC don't employ sports scientists, trainers, club doctors, physios, nutritionists, psychologists the works.................

They do, along with private consultants as well! Funny thing that.

Do all of you really think Bilyaletdinov can play as one of the central midfielders in our system? Only central position he can play is attacking centre mid, he doesn't have positional sense, workrate, legs, tenacity and ability to retain possession to play in Arteta/Osman/Fellaini/Rodwell position (not that mentioned players has all this skills). We would be slaughtered if Moyes would try him there.

I hate the fact that it will take 6 more months to see Fellaini and Arteta playing together, frekin injuries...

I don't do grovelling. (n)

Its now sounding like a "partial rupture" - quite what the difference between partial rupture and tear is you tell me. (they are the same).

Hence he still had mobility in the joint.

When Van Persie got injured he went on Dutch tv in November 2009 and told people he'd be out for 6 weeks.

He got reviewed November 22nd by a specialist and was advised that he needed surgery and ligament reconstruction. Sounds like exact same thing here.

Conservative approach. He may have floating cartillage that the surgeon wants to remove.

Basically, he could be back before the end of the season, but it sounds to me that Moyes doesn't want him rushing back hence the six month figure, as it sounds like they've confered on the type of injury and put that timescale in (as he doesn't want him playing at all in the summer).

And if you think thats drivel lol thats up to you lol

but I aint grovelling as the diagnosis wouldn't have come back until at least after the Chelsea game and it took 9 days to get a diagnosis for Van Persie, same for this one and they wouldn't have known about him getting surgery till Monday just gone. (n)

i think the grovelling is down to doubting lcab rather than any reason you identify... tbh at the moment lcab could tell me that moyes was wearing my slippers and sleeping with my wife and i would believe it, despite being unmarried and being bereft of slippers generally.

ROTFL lol

His own fault really for being a dirty [Poor language removed] and coming off worse when trying to stamp on Kyriakos' leg.

Wow, 1 post then banned

is this a record?

At least you came right out and showed your true colours, devonblues of the world take note

Good stuff there. Not being bereft of slippers though - quite comfy. I prefer the ol' Adilettes but the Mrs., slippers for sure.

ROTFL lol

BANNED.

ROTFL lol

Same thing my RS friend argued to me today. I should warn him not to come on this forum :D. No, but he actually respects Everton and usually has nice things to say... as long as we're not playing them.

No he didn't indicate any reason why. Just:
"Me mate has just texted me to say , it aint looking good .
Looking like the season .This , to me , says adios Eufa , but others may disagree .
Even with him we'd struggle tactically , without him we are bolloxed . You MUST keep the ball in European football .
This is a proper shame - see last year , Arteta / Jags , etc - ."

 Well I've got medical knowledge and I saw Fellaini extend and contract his foot on his own on the pitch.

Couldn't do that with a ruptured lateral ankle ligament - its impossible.

And that is the only real major injury (considering he's had a clear x-ray with no fractures or dislocations) that could keep him out long term i.e. 3 months +.

A tidy up job of any cartilage would be 8 weeks.

So I think we should just wait and see, hence why the club haven't said anything.

YES. I AM.

Ankle sprain

The sprained ankle - When would an operation be appropriate?

When is an Operation Appropriate After an Ankle Sprain or Ligament Rupture?

The most common scenario is if the conservative (non operative) route fails to get the ankle better.

Operative intervention is used for two sets of symptoms, which may co-exist. These ongoing symptoms following an ankle sprain are either pain at the level of the ankle or instability from the ankle. If, following an ankle sprain the ankle is "just" painful then an arthroscopy may be all that is required. At arthroscopy any areas of loose cartilage or inflamed tissue (synovitis) or scar tissue (arthrofibrosis) can be removed from the joint. The timing of ankle arthroscopy following an ankle sprain is open to discussion depending on individual wishes/requirements.

There is debate (and evidence both ways) about whether operative repair of the ligaments early, without first failing conservative treatment, is justified.

Basically, they arn't going to do a single thing until the swelling subsides.

Then reassess the injury then.

Anyone saying he's out for the season needs to behave, as he hasn't seen the specialist yet for reassessment.

Do one , beaut !!!

Going Everton related, I have no doubt believing anything you say David. In all my time browsing the various Everton fora, you are the only one who's information was proven correct time and again. Don't get so wound up by the non believers, who dare to doubt LCAB's word. Always remember: "Those that understand need no explanation. Those that do not understand, don't matter.

Oh and btw, we definately should work out a meet up before or after the West Ham game in April.;)

LCAB is the best thing about this place with his info, the stories about us signing Bily only ended up in the paper after it coming out on here with it, so although "medical knowledge" is relevant, and useful to the debate, there's no need to be confrontational, especially with the most trusted poster on the forum! WHoops!

I don't think anyone here doubts LCAB's credibility, it's just that with Fellaini being such an important player to this club some of us prefer not to believe him this time.

I just refuse to believe that Fellaini will be out for the rest of the season, I've been dreaming of seeing Arteta and Fellaini as our starting CMs for months now. It would be extremely frustrating if he was indeed out for the rest of the season. But again I don't think it got anything to do with LCAB's credibility.

LCAB for the record, I wasn't doubting you when I said "I'm not giving up hope." I'm hoping for the best and an amazing recovery!

don't let yourself get caught up, LCAB. Let it slide, mate.

If only somebody would have told us this a few days ago.

lcab spot on again. Pity the doubters.

Aye.

Written rule of Grandoldteam Forum --- Always Believe What LCAB says....END. OF.;)

Thanks to all my buddies .
Source also says , nice one .
