There is absolutely nothing wrong with being ambitious , just as he was when he left belgium to come over here . The player's own manager has yet to commit himself to a deal so one could totally understand felliani looking to his future and casting envious glances across the prem.
I am impressed by the idea he'll stay if we get top four and I'd be delighted firstly if we did , secondly if they are genuine comments by the player & thirdly if he means it. Football player lie , everyone in football lies whether it's "I'm not interested in a move" , "this player is our future , we aren't in the business of selling our best players " and "there has been no approach" etc.... So pretty much everything said by anybody in football has to be taken with a huge pinch of salt.
Lastly the idea that players become attached to clubs , the fans or whatever . There is no doubt that some do but as somebody heavily involved in football explained to me only the other day "you need to realise players are c@nts, once you realise that you've got a chance in this business " .
Sorry to be cynical and I really hope felliani does think like this and will be happy to stay but my belief in footy players expired some time ago particularly ones as talented and in demand as this one. the only thing you can ever really ask or expect is that when they are with you they do their best and make a difference and felliani is doing just that.
