really that's an interesting perspective because although some of his passing was brazen it seemed to me at least that he had an element of assuredness to his styleHe's been good but a bit worrisome with his passing IMO.
So our season is decided in the first half of preseason game versus a club named after a number?I love a belter of a goal as much as anyone, but would be nice to be able to score goals that aren't from outside the box. We may struggle to get top half if we base the season on scoring screamers.
DCL just cannot finish which is a big problem for a striker unless I'm mistaken.
The thing is from McCarthy's point of view he wants to do everything he can to get Ireland to the WC, not going to hold that against him. It just comes down to however much importance you put on international footballNot what I said. I couldn't give a toss if a player wants to play international football. What I do care about is players like Him with poor fitness/injuries prior to international breaks going away with them against the clubs wishes only to break down again.
But with regards international football, I've said it before, if England were playing in front of my house I'd close the curtains and if there was a no ball games sign I'd grass them up.
Thankfully seems to understand the offside rule better than Jela did!DCL drifts out wide often....reminds of Jelavic.

Proven for England? Didn't he only score 1 and he made a right hash of thatNah, he can finish - proven it for England - but he's just trying too hard when in good positions for us at the mo.
The thing with Calvert-Lewin is that he has no weaknesses in his overall game, whilst not being outstanding at anything either. And that's a good thing for a developing pro - it only takes everything to click and you have a complete striker on your hands.
He needs a loan, but he's far from the write off some make him out to be.
I missed that - Ron probably praised him at half time - then the lads wanted to show their love too.Hahaha, I know that.....just before the second half kicked off though. Probably like you say.
