He's been good but a bit worrisome with his passing IMO.
really that's an interesting perspective because although some of his passing was brazen it seemed to me at least that he had an element of assuredness to his style

DCL just cannot finish which is a big problem for a striker unless I'm mistaken.

Nah, he can finish - proven it for England - but he's just trying too hard when in good positions for us at the mo.

The thing with Calvert-Lewin is that he has no weaknesses in his overall game, whilst not being outstanding at anything either. And that's a good thing for a developing pro - it only takes everything to click and you have a complete striker on your hands.

He needs a loan, but he's far from the write off some make him out to be.

Not what I said. I couldn't give a toss if a player wants to play international football. What I do care about is players like Him with poor fitness/injuries prior to international breaks going away with them against the clubs wishes only to break down again.

But with regards international football, I've said it before, if England were playing in front of my house I'd close the curtains and if there was a no ball games sign I'd grass them up.
The thing is from McCarthy's point of view he wants to do everything he can to get Ireland to the WC, not going to hold that against him. It just comes down to however much importance you put on international football

He does, but he was passing flat along lines which invites interceptions. It's fine when it comes off, but is dangerous and there's not much reward in doing it compared to the risk.

I'd prefer simple passes, or if he wants to try something longer then make sure it's forward.

Everything else I'm fine with thus far from him like.

Proven for England? Didn't he only score 1 and he made a right hash of that

Finishing is a skill that can be worked on and improved. Ironically he does the difficult things well like know when and where to make runs, etc. I'm not worried about him. He'll get better and better as times goes on. I'm with you @Tubey

The length of the grass is catching a few players out, the 67-year-old council groundsman should get a written warning for this before the U-9s play on it Saturday morning.
