I'm surprised The Cross Keys hasn't been mentioned. As far as I know it's the closest pub in town before the walk to the ground

I bet loads walk past the end of the street and not know there's a pub there. I'm told it gets quite busy on matchdays .

Don’t mind it in there and it’s a decent stop too from the ground or the Denbigh . Gets busy but not too chocca and staff are pretty good .

Owners a massive RS but I weigh that against my desire for a pint

Coming in from the northern direction I've settled in at The Hangman. Just outside the no parking zone is an attraction. But beer kept nice and a very reasonably priced kitchen which will knock you up a burger or hotdog with chips, at half the price of anything inside the ground

The Denbigh for me. It has nice German lager and is the halfway point on my walk to BMD.

Thank you to you and the others who helped with advice. We got in Azvex and had great beer and some good company too. Nearly home now.

Look forward to hopefully visiting again next season. If any of you good people want tips for a Sunderland away day next season I'll try and remember to sign in here leading up to our fixtures. Enjoy a good summer Evertonians. Keep The Faith we like to say.

Where does everyone go pre and post game? Does anywhere feel like it did at goodison yet?

Not for me i usually just drink in town then walk up

I don't mind the hotel place opposite, just wish to God they'd put tables outside and let you drink there.

Stick a band out, be a great spot!

Not the Terrace.

£6.25 for a bev in a plastic glass is a swerve for me.

Don't bother opening it half the time, just put their prices up on a matchday knowing it'll be full regardless.

I walk down Vauxhall Road and stop off in a couple of traditional pubs there.

I know a couple of people who had a row with the Kopite door staff of the bramley social laughing and taking the mick out of blues so I stay out of there. Rats

Bramley Moore is a great boozer , feels like a proper pub which are scarse by the ground .

Dockwall seems decent so far . We could do with one on the walk to/from dale st other than that brewery

There's Cross Keys just by Leeds Street. Could do with one by Sandhills and by Princes Dock.

Yeah I go the cross keys sometimes , I kind of grouped it in with dale st even though it’s 5 mins on .

we tend to go to the invisible wind factory, if its not raining they have a nice outdoor area. I have noticed the prices creeping up though. I think a pint was about £4.50 at the start of the season, it was £5.95 yesterday, so same price as the cheapest larger in the stadium.

I wanted to try that Dixies on Dickson street, because its run by the guy who had the Winslow, but I've walked past it 3 times and its been too full to get in
