It is now. Didn’t someone on here mention slipping a miniature of port into their Bovril at Goodison?

I think there’s room in the drinks world for

I am not a fan of drinking in those choc a bloc pubs by HD before the game.

Same with the Oak, Blue House, Wilmslow etc. by Goodison.

IMO there is no pleasure in crowded pubs where it is hard to get served and you can’t hear your chums talking.

So my routine these days is going in the ground early, having a drink and usually a steak pie there.

But afterwards I head over to The Terrace for an hour

Simply because that is where my mates go.

I drink whisky for the same reason. Don't know why they don't sell spirits on the concourse ,Goodison was the same .

I have the double whammy of a microscopic bladder and knees that are crumbling by the time i get to row 50. If i then went o the bogs and had to climb them again, I genuinely believe both knees would simply self destruct! So deffo no hooch for me pre-match

Only been a few times and these are pubs/bars I frequent anyway. But I tend to go to the Ship and Mitre walk over to Azvex brewery then either Invisible Wind Factory or straight to the ground.

Do you know if Azvex allows away fans? I'm visiting this weekend and hoping to get some craft beer down my neck pre match

I'm surprised The Cross Keys hasn't been mentioned. As far as I know it's the closest pub in town before the walk to the ground
