Daniel Johns suffered with anorexia (listen to the song Ana’s Song: Open Fire). He had major health complications because of it at one point. He became a recluse and the band split in 2011, four years after their last album Young Modern.
The first 3 albums were brilliant, considering they wrote them between the ages of 15-19 or something ridiculous like that.
Daniel John’s was also married to Natalie Imbruglia at one point as well.

As much as this is “ rock lite “ it’s actually a really good and quite sinister song, which for some reason no one seemed to pick up on at the time.
