We weren't complaining at the time because we did not know any better at the time.

Kenwright could've sold the club to someone competent, but chose to sell us to an absolute clown who would keep him around. They're both a pair of clowns and are both responsible for the decline of the club. If you are unwilling to acknowledge Kenwright's role in this alongside that of Moshiri then I have to question your motives for posting
Whilst i dont usually defend Kenwright, can't exactly blame him for this, how was he to know? People hire people for jobs etc all the time, you think they are ok but when they are actually doing the job you find they are useless. Difficult to get rid of someone then especially in this situation.

Who said I’m unwilling to acknowledge Bill’s shortcomings? My point is that it’s swimming against the tide on this forum to point out that Moshiri is ultimately responsible for the state the club is in.

Why?

I mean that's exactly what we were doing with USM having the first of it's kind First refusal on naming rights for a stadium years away from being built for £30 million. Only thing that stopped us was Russia getting sanctioned whilst KSA and Abu Dhabi haven't.

Not quite, the company that gave us that £30m was a business that can at least be argued to be legitimate. It was very clear who the owner is and there was no wool pulled over any eyes. The difference with the others is the use of companies that are owned by the same people but are built in such a way as to hide that fact. This is where the issue lies. City were pulled up in a paper the other day where a huge sponsorship was signed by them and yet the profile of the CEO of the company was an image purchased off Google.

So both clubs were doing the exact same thing where their owner were sponsoring and handing out money well over the odds but the issue is that one club is hiding it whilst we were not rather than the actual practise itself?

You think the Chairman was totally unaware of any of this, that’s very naive. I said years ago that Moshiri was playing at the casino with our credit card. Ultimately Moshiri takes the blame for this mess we find ourselves in. All we have wanted was success and while we can be accused of impatience, what fans aren’t.
I just want Moshiri gone, decent owners and a board that can find their backside with both hands.
We wont go down this season even if the 10 points stick, it’s three losses and a draw. In some recentr seasons that about our average under this regime.
Onward and upward, we will grow stronger, we will come out of this and get ourselves back to the top.

I think you are misunderstanding what my point is. An owner can sponsor from their own company, that isn't an issue, but it can only happen to a certain value. Other clubs have maximised their self sponsorship capacity and are believed to now be getting around that through other means. Sponsorships or other incomes are tested to fair market value, and the same happened with the £30m payment for the stadium naming, after a few clubs cried foul. Had we started a 'bidding war' between USM, UMS and SMU to drive up the price and try and prove market values, then that would have been wholly illegal.

Maybe he should've been less focused on selling to someone who would keep him around, and more focused on selling up to someone who was better for the long term future of the club

Kenwright started the ball rolling a long time before Moshiri but I agree they are BOTH culpable for our predicament, why some posters can't see this is beyond me, it appalled me to be honest. You're first point again agree, sadly none of us had crystal balls, we just saw the £ signs...

He had a little known position as ‘Chairman.’

Hes completely accountable for this. 100%

In other words USM was a proper company unlike the ones you have mentioned who are made up off the Internet.
