This is all assuming that's true. Multiple media stories shared on here have put out that Brands wanted to keep Silva, even after Norwich and Liverpool. With the greatest of respect to the person who posted that made-up story, says who?

, says that Silva wasn't even brought up in the team meeting.

He's the Director of Football, if he isn't getting the final say on football matters at the club why is he even there?!
He signed Digne, Mina, Richarlison, Bernard and Moise Kean, all of whom were wanted by other clubs around Europe. Other than not replacing Zouma he's been great since coming in.
Wanted to keep for the time being, probably until the summer because yet another mid-season sacking causes more instability and makes the job even harder to sell to other managers. Doubt Silva was getting an extension or going to go into his final year. Brands doesn't want Moyes, if it is him he'll walk of that I'd bet the barn.
It's not made up.
Show me 1 after Liverpool.
Are you joking mate? My blind 100 year old grandmother in her village back in Greece could see unless we replaced Lukaku( which may finally relegate us as we have no goals) and got a CB asap, we were in trouble. He's the Director of Football, if he isn't getting the final say on football matters at the club why is he even there?!

Because his decision to stick with Silva after the Millwall debacle put us on this path.
Richarlison cost £50m. No one was getting near spending that.
Mina is excellent on his day, really brilliant, but injury prone and was horrific the other night.
Kean the non-scoring striker that even a very, very desperate Silva couldn't turn to.
Academy and first team described as being on different planets by one coach.
Gueye sold with no serious replacement. Gbamin??? Delph??? No.
Digne and Bernard - ok they are excellent.
We won't miss Brands.
Yeah was more getting at the original made up story that was posted to stir the pot in here. The poster said Silva was discussed by the players and Joyce says he wasn't even mentioned. Agenda or not I'd believe Joyce over a made up dramatic story in here. Whats the agenda you speak of btw mate? I thought Joyce was OK with the club etcI dont see whats so bizarre about him asking the players if they need anything to improve.
Also, ramshackle squad?
Agenda much Joycey?
Martinez got worse the further the team got from the one Moyes left him. Complete rubbish, we would be championship at best with that idiotWe had the man in place in Martinez. I just think the mistake that Moshiri made was giving into the massive pressure of the fan base and media to let him go as a sign of the new era of ownership. Yes there were rocky times and awful derby performances in RM's three seasons in charge but the fact of the matter is that he was trying to implement a much more attractive and progressive offensive style of game on a shoe string budget with a group of players that were drilled by Moyes in the rigid structures and negative (yet reasonably effective) style of game. When FM came in, if Martinez was given the funds that the managers since him had to spend (plus that which was wasted on multiple manager payoffs) we'd be looking more like Leicester or dare I say it Spurs of the last few seasons than this one that has no style of play and is wallowing in mediocrity with no light at the end of the tunnel.
Any chance of a source?
