Im also confused, cos we opened up all those lines of credit 2 years ago.

Before that we were using some dodgy payday loan company whos name has escaped me for now.

Reading between the lines, our needs went beyond the depth of the credit facility. I suspect because the plan got annihilated last season. No Europe, massive operational costs replacing 2 regimes of managers etc. Money wasted on transfers.

The arrangement doesn't seem as punitive as the vibrate one and seems more independent. Until we start selling players for bigger money more regularly there will be some dependence on this.

Fortunately 17 players are out of contract over the next 48 months. So we will see a lot moved on over that time.

A “business” borrows money on the back of secured future cash injections from operations to allow itself to expedite growth.. the horror! Can’t think of any business that might do that... oh hang on.. every business in the world does that.

Just because we a club, doesn’t change that fundamental business principles need to apply. Don’t get me started on the concept of WACC please.
is this based on future projections, if so who is in charge of that at the club? and are the future projections normally close?

would they under estimate the projection in order to ensure that they are able to afford to repay what they borrow? if we borrow too much and cannot pay it off will the owner cover the rest?

First summer for years where we have no worries about losing star players, just buying more, thats how great Moshiri is
Or we have no players anybody above us in the food chain actually rates, don't get me wrong though, We rate them and think (hope) they are good enough to get us higher up said food chain.
Rumours aside, if say Spurs thought Gomes was as good as Erikson and Offered to double our money the powers that be would be deeply temped.
Its about perception and for the moment I think our 'Stars' are perceived as not proven at the very top...good job too tbh,
If, as we all hope, we kick on and hand out a few pastings to the big boys, then you might see Clubs coming in to test our resolve, probably via agents leaking rumours into the media.

Some of you are legit dumb about this stuff. He has given well over 250M to the club in the form if equity just like all the other billionaire owners have. So either you hate them or live them all. He dropped 100M in cash last summer alone. The fact that some think he'd suddenly take money out of the club without selling to someone else is just silly.

Bigger stadium
One club city
Owner backed up by £118bn

Take your pick.

Resorting to insults, you sad little man.

The proposed owner couldn't scrape together 118 quid. The Mansour family is worth about 15 billion (about the same as what Usmanov is worth) so the idea they have some lost mythical brother worth 7 time that value should have rang alarm bells.

This is why they've lost their manager and best player.

We are all entitled to our opinions, and nobody should be insulted for them, but you might wish to reflect on this experience and perhaps engage critical faculties before the next panic comes. Newcastle are heading for relegation.

I was thinking him but now that PSG have got Herrera i dont think they will be back.
Thing is though we do have our best players, and dont have to worry about losing them, Lucas for another, and even the English players Keane and Pickford someone might want to help with quotas...etc
Im confident this summer is all about building on what we had last season, aside from Zouma of course

The problem is all of the Esks calculations are completely flawed to back up what he wants. A fact very few people seemed to realise due to the way he presents his dossiers as complete fact. As someone who's day job is modelling large scale financial projects, i couldn't stop laughing at his articles.
Would you fancy doing one on BMD in your spare time.
