Moshiri kept Bill as Chairman. The role of a Chairman is to implement the strategy and policy on behalf of the owner, to appoint board members and to oversee effectively shareholder communication.

If you review the current sh1t show you can see that the strategy and policy was a mess. He appointed DBB who’s role was to grow the business (failed miserably). Shareholder and fanbase communication is at an all time low.

If I was the owner of a business run like this the entire board including the chairman would be booted for gross incompetence.

I’m not a Bill hater but he’s made a complete cake and arse party of it all and he needs to f..k off.
This takeover, if you could even call it that, was a busted flush the moment it became obvious that Kenwright had simply found someone to replace Earl/Green.

He basically had to as Green was going through the courts at the time (not for the first time either) and was desperate for his money back

Out of pure curiosity, could any of the 96 that are happy with Moshiri explain why.

To make things harder, you cannot use the new stadium as a reason.

Not happy with him but you can't deny he provided money for players and after the King's Dock and Kirkby debacles getting the stadium is a huge step forward.

Carlin we were in a mess before Moshiri came, Bill had sold everything we had off, we were in debt to our eyeballs, Moshiri paid off those debts...
...But Moshiri took over in 2016, since then Bill has been his right hand man, the chaiman of Everton football club, so Bill must take some part of that blame from 2016, Farhad was his man.
Game, Set and Match.

Mate.

Anyway, ok. So because he threw money at us you’re happy.

Fair enough

He hasn’t provided any money, as you can see now that we don’t have a pot to piss in after the Usmanov sanctions. Fella is nothing more than a public face for the war criminal.

Agreed with caveat that’s it only remains a huge step forward providing we don’t take a huge step down to the Championship, which remains a strong possibility at present.
In which case it could very easily become a millstone round our neck.

Didn't say I was happy, just happier than I was after Kirkby. We'd need transcripts of daily meetings to know his real input into the hiring of DoFs and players. Whoever has driven that is who's got us where we are.

You have the advantage over me,I've not seen his accounts.

I’ll go with Farhad, for the following reasons:
1. He wanted to turn North West football into the Hollywood of the U.K. so hired Ronald Koeman
2. He had massive hardon for Marco Silva for 2 years
3. He wanted to keep big names managers so persuaded Carlo to come
4. He, against a lot of pushback, appointed Benitez
5. After sacking Benitez he then decided that Vitor Pierara was the man to lead us out of a relegation scrap

We are where we are primarily because we wasted huge amounts of money on players who didn't perform and who we couldn't move on. Who is the main culprit in that is open to interpretation.

Hired two Directors of Football who saw fit to make the following signings:

Bolasie £27m
Schneiderlin £20m
Walcott £20m
Sigurdsson £45m
Tosun £27m
Keane £30m
Kean £20m
Iwobi £27m
Sandro £5m (huge wages)
Klaassen £20m
Gbamin £25m
- total outlay over £260m. Recouped less than £15m (will increase to about £40m once Kean goes), with five players released on free transfers and three still at the club.

Hired a CEO who apparently has no idea how to commercialise the football club or negotiate decent sponsorship deals.

Continued to allow the club to bring in misfit players such as Dele Alli at a potentially humongous cost to the club.

Allowed us to fall foul of Premier League spending rules and once again led to us needing to sell our best player at below market value.

Knew the sentiment towards Benitez yet brought him to the club anyway, then ended up sacking him after finally realising it was the wrong decision and we were going to get relegated.

Kept Kenwright involved in seemingly many aspects of running the club.

Turned us into the best example in world football of how not to spend £500m on players and made us a laughing stock amongst other clubs' fans due to the massive spend that somehow took us massively backwards.

All in all, it's quite remarkable how bad a job he's done. Needs to go as soon as possible.

Correct and as I have previously said, BK seems to have presided over a Board which had no accountability and certainly had no key performance indicators. It was his responsibility to ensure that the club had a strategic direction and improved performance on and off the field. Abject failure which Moshiri apparently condoned.
