Joyce saying that Moshiri asked the players did they need anything from him to perform better. Players found it an utter waste of time. Allegedly Silva wasn't even mentioned.

Bizarre, if true.
He's coddling them waayyyy too much. The message from there should have been "a lot of you have underperformed under 3 completely different managers now and cost each of them their jobs. This is on you"

Think I am just surprised that Real Leader In The Dressing Room Davies didn't rally the troops

If the players had any personal or professional pride then that question wouldn’t need to be asked as Silva wouldn’t have needed to be sacked.

I’m no fan of Silva but these players should be doing a lot of soul searching, they don’t look arsed.

That's where I saw it.

Moshiri did not intend to sack Silva today, Brands had insisted it would be the wrong decision because the club is trying to change for the long-term, mostly in terms of mindset. Stability is what he insists is needed, that supporters would calm down and things would right themselves in a few months.

Old Blue Bill and DBB got in his ear and convinced him the manager had to go, that the club needed a figure to unite the fans (e.g. Ferguson).

The players wanted to stick with Silva and told him as much in the meeting, he appeared to agree with them so they left thinking his trip there to speak with them had all been a bit pointless. Then those amateurs stick their two cents in and get him to go against what Brands and the players told him. The players are in total shock and Brands is steaming mad for being overruled. He'll be gone very soon as well.

Everton Football Club ladies and gentleman. Well done to the people who clapped that man in 2011 when a group of supporters tried to tell the world what a disease he and his stooges are.

Is that from one of tomorrow's papers?
