UPDATE:
Tomorrow will have the keys and will sign tenancy agreement.
But I think I will move into flat on Sunday because tomorrow the gas and electricity maybe will not be working yet.
To be honest I am a bit scared and nervous about to moving into empty flat and that I will need so many things and I am struggling for money at the moment...
 
Can somebody explained me in a few words what does it mean and when the electricity would be on?

It's the letter from the Your Housing Group



I can book you an appointment with our contractors for Monday to turn on the gas and elec


You will need to have obtained credit for both meters


The process is;


We register the supply in your name; I am in the process of doing this now


You get credit for both your gas and elec meter


Our contractors come out and then uncap the gas pipe; they can only do this if you have credit for the gas meter; I can book them in for Monday morning to do this

Sergei, do you have electricity and gas 'keys'

They are plastic and fit into the meters. You take them to local shop and they put credit onto them. They may be inside the flat in the meter cupboards.

Are you there (the flat) now?

I am fairly local and can nip by and show you how meters work

I'm not quite sure mate, but it might be that they will give you a pre-payment card, for which you will need to take to a paypoint shop to buy credit for the gas & electric; then they will turn your gas & electric on.

No mate, I will be in this company tomorrow at 2 pm. I will have the keys and sign the tenancy agreement
 

FFS I am nervous about bed or sofa and electricity because I have a perspective to sleep on a cold floor in the darkness. I think there are times when there are no place for jokes...
 
And no internet which is bad as well for a job hunting, to be in touch here for a collecting stuff and to be in touch with my family.
May be I am on the wrong decision and I should stay in my room in Gorton? It won't get my family closer but I will be fine with electricity, gas, Internet, cooker, washing machine, etc....
I am just in panic a bit, sorry guys, it's just so complicated, but I have to do this step forward.
