£8 million? £10 million? £15 million? £20 million? £30 million?

These are the number’s flying around Everton fans thoughts for David Moyes transfer budget in the summer.

Now from what I’m led to believe, Kenwright guarantees Moyes 8 million every single summer.

8 million pounds? Is this good enough for a team competing to be in the top 6 every season and trying to break the ‘big four’, NO.

Last summer we spent in the region of 22 million. We brought in 3 good players with it. Jagielka, Baines and Yakubu plus Pienaar and Gravesen on loan deals.

For a team who is trying to compete with the top 4, can Kenwright keep on giving David Moyes 8 million plus scraps?

The rumour was that Everton secured a loan to finance the Yakubu deal as Moyesy apparently was getting very angry at the lack of transfer funds, especially after a brilliant season where Everton finished in 6th place, securing UEFA Cup football.

Now for Everton to move on and compete with the teams around them and the big four, Kenwright is going to have to give us at least 25 million in the summer.

It is believed that David Moyes is locked in a feud with the Everton board over this summer’s transfer kitty.

David Moyes plus every Evertonian believes that for the club to move on and progress, Kenwright is going to have to give us the transfer funds.

I just hope Kenwright realises this and matches Moyesy’s ambition in the summer.

I think we need around 5-6 new player’s, 2-3 midfielders, a back up goalkeeper, a defender and maybe a new striker.

If Kenwright can’t give us the funds to progress, let alone progress, we need the funds just to stay where we are, if Kenwright cannot give us the funds, what is the point in him staying at Goodison? I just hope he realises that he needs to find the funds before it’s too late, too late to watch Everton fall into mid table security every season and watch David Moyes leave Everton after all his brilliant work because he has not been able to secure the money that will match his ambitions.

Realise it Kenwright before it’s too late.

Cal, come off it - who says we only have eight million?

The summer transfer window hasnt even opened and already the Kenwright sniping has started. Lets see what happens then, we didnt do bad last summer. What about the five million for McFadden? What about the 12 million we had ear marked for Fernandes? What about our income from TV Deals still to come and prize money for placing in the Premiership?

It all depends which way you look at it. Be careful what you wish for with Kenwright, the other side of Stanley Park shows all that glitters isnt gold.

Cal this is the problem, If Bill had the cash he would give it to Davy but as he has not he needs investors to stump up the cash the stumbling block is Bill wants to stay major shareholder.and any one putting in heavy cash will want a say in the club.So I think it will be a lot lower than hoped for I know we have broke the transfer record a few times but look at the fees the top teams pay and we are still along way behind.

If we spend any money on a striker, I'll shoot myself.

Get someone on loan for cover there.

Main needs are in midfield and right back.

I'm sure Moyesie will have at least £15M (net of any departures). We've received money for Faddy as well. Should be able to add 2 or 3 decent names (plus Piennaar on a permanent for just over £2M) - depending on whether any departures increase funds and/or reduce the wage bill.

Massive contradiction there pal. Quite a srange article really- you are moaning about this supposed £8m but highlight that we spent £22m last year (dont forget we almost signed Manny for circa £8m)

There will be money available and Im sure Moyes will spend it wisely.

Not a very constructive post Cal, condemning a guy who has been instrumental in getting us back on our feet before you know the facts. It is rumour and hearsay of this nature creates unnecessary unrest, its ill conceive and crass. I've heard rumours saying we'll have £30 mil to spend but that is all they are rumours. I note you make no mention of the fans contributing more by having their season tickets hiked up to rival those of other Premiership teams, this is a two way street you know.

I will tell you this many clubs will be cutting back this year because of borrowing, we ar healthier than most in that regard so the market may be cheaper than in recent years. Moyes will sign the players he wants with the budget available and like me and everyone else you know no more than the rest of us

we need to sell johnson and neville and buy a decent right back who can pass to an everton player hibbert and neville must be the premier leagues worst crossers of a ball, we defineatly need two top class holding midfielders with some muscle and maybe another strikers as johnson is just too light and easily knocked off the ball,
