Nineteen years ago today, ninety six Liverpool fans lost their lives while attending an FA Cup Semi Final. One of them was my hero, the lad I idolised and wanted to be when I grew up - he only wore the best Adidas trabs and no one could beat him on headers playing three and in. I was twelve, he was nineteen, my neighbour and provider of the best rippings I ever had from a Red. I probably still idolise him now.

For him and the ninety five other football fans, I will never ever forget. Rest in peace.

Thank you for this thread. I was amongst the carnage on that fateful day, and even though nineteen years have passed I neither can nor ever will forget what I saw, heard and experienced.
Neither will I ever forget the comradeship and support in the aftermath from Blues fans that I knew and many that I didn't.
Thanks again.

I lost a red mate and fellow Rovers fan and a lad from our boozer died, his dad followed not long after died of a broken heart. RIP

I was at Prescot Cables vs Liverpool Ressers on Monday, Held a minutes silence in honour that was observed greatly.

Shame liverpool won though. :(

I was at Villa Park watching us in the other semi final that day coming home was very odd something that in truth has never left me.

I knew 1 person who was very badly injured and worked with another who died you had to ask yourself was it worth it all...

Aterrible day thats for sure and one that changed the face of football as we knew it then
