The critical reaction towards the team from the supporters at the Norwich match was what you would expect in the circumstances.

2-0 down early in the first half against the worst team in the league.

That isn't a concerted effort by Everton supporters to abuse our players with the intent of undermining Benitez in an attempt to get him sacked.
Come on, you're struggling here. You know full well there were Benitez out chants there and it preceded the abuse the players received...do you really think the players cant put two and two together?

The Benitez OUT struggle absolutley undermined our season and handed us results that could prove decisive in seeing us relegated.

I’ve no issue booing at the end of a half.

Perhaps just not during the game.

Booing is crap. But the club has become toxic.
Wtf is going on when we can spend 500m and barely have anything nice to show for it. we turn good players bad.
There is something going on in the recruitment and onboarding stage.
It’s as if we psycometrically test for players that are looking to take their foot
off the gas

You need to go back and read what you said. That attacking the players was a calculated tactic by our supporters to destabalise Benitez. You went on to say that our players were petrified of going near our away fans.

You said it, so you own it. I'm not going to repeat it again.

What actually undermined the season was having the FSW in charge of it, he should never of been appointed.
He was (still is by some on here) overhyped and out of date.
I doubt we’d be in this situation if Lampard had started the season.

Thing is its a shame in hindsight Lampard didnt start the season, since he was available, as that wouldnt of led to a less toxic season, but there is no reason to believe we would be any higher up the table then we are now. The position we find ourselves in is a true reflection of the squad we have built and the work that has been done over the years.

Benitez should never have been appointed in the first place, so I’d focus your energy in the direction it should be focused if I were you. The fans are the reason we have won any games at home at all.

He was manager. The fans should never have conducted a campaign against him and at the expense of the teams frotines on the pitch.

To get to their "better" we had to see a manager unseated.

Let's not be all coy about this: there were huge numbers of supporters who wanted this club beaten each week in order that Benitez lost his job. That had an effect on the whole organisation. We lost a lot of games because there was no cohesion in the club between fans manager and players. That's a funny way of wanting better.

It was an indulgence that's led us directly to this point where we've left it too late and we're dancing on the trap door with 3 other clubs and hoping the other three fall through it before we do.

That vocal and physical opposition to Benitez has done us untold damage. It might just have cost us our PL place.
What an absolute load of tripe! There were huge numbers of fans who never wanted the bloke appointed in the first place and for good reasons which quickly proved them to be correct! Just where is the evidence that those same huge numbers of fans wanted the team beaten each week???
There is however a considerable body of evidence from your own hand on here very recently, but also going back to previous seasons, that you on more than one occasion have wanted Everton to get beat to stop them across Stanley Park doing something!
What may cost us our premier league place is (yet another!) poor decision by Moshiri to appoint Benitez in the first place!!!

You're kidding yourself.

So where's the evidence that "huge numbers" wanted the team beaten every week? No answer as per usual because it doesn't fit your narrative!
Ha Ha Ha.

Take a look at the post match reaction in here when we got beat...there was a stampede of giddy posters who couldn't contain themselves to show how they had "won" by refusing to back Benitez from the off.

So still no actual evidence then, just you and your contrarian opinion! The fact that people refused to back your man, is nothing like your narrative of “wanting Everton to get beat”! Again noticeable no rebuttal of you actually wanting Everton to get beat when it suited another of your narratives!
