What cheating, it sound to me like a bunch of Hamilton and Mercedes fans crying foul. I don't really care for Verstappen, but i appreciate that this was first F1 season in years and years worth watching. Everyone was dead tired of Mercedes snooze fest, and at least Verstappen got some charisma unlike Hamilton and Vettel before him

TBH I don't see the result being overturned, but Masi's position is completely untenable now. He will be reviled in history as the most bent master of ceremonies that there has ever been.

The FIA must issue a public no-holds-bar apology for the atrocious way the race was concluded, accept that it was a total fck up, and make sure thatit can never be so influenced by such incompetence again.

Media company take over F1, they are going to want drama, controversy and finishes like this to a season.

Lewis was gracious, showed his class today after the race, i don't think Max and Karen Horner would have been as magnanimous in defeat.

Mercedes will have their dominance again, they hardly developed this seasons car concentrating on next years new regulations car where they have had 2 years now working on it which is a scary thought for the grid, contrast that with RedBull adding new aero bits on this season car every race, Lewis will be winning the championship with 4-5 races to spare next season.

That Russell lad was really quick in the rain at Spa.... Might be more interesting than you think.

Because he did a risky strategy with nothing to lose which involved 2 outlaps before a flyer whereas everyone else went with the safe option of doing 1 outlap which proved to be much slower. Don't get me wrong he drove well but the time was achieved primarily because of Williams strategy.

I expect him to do better than Bottas though, in race trim at least.

Also, I've always said that Giovinazzi is fcking useless. Seems his only contribution in his completely underwhelming stint in F1 is to cause the incident that led to this. It was like it was written in the stars. Utter fcktard of a driver.

Giovinazzi was the one that brought out the VSC that allowed Max to pit for his 2nd stop. Bad but Lewis repelled that. It was Latifi who is the total beep for fighting over 17 millionth place with Schumacher and binning it into the wall. Another couple of laps and we would have had none of this.

By the letter of the law, it's an overtake - regardless of how petty it is - a rule has been broken. Mercedes got a 5 place grid penalty (?) Because their rear wing DRS gap was 0.2mm too big. That's the width of a piece of paper.

Personally I don't want the result overturned. The FIA and FOM has made it's bed now and it has to live with what it has done to the intergrity of the sport.

Hamilton can hold his head high - he has driven brilliantly while the whole machinery of the FIA and their bent ringleader has been against him all season. I wouldn't want him to win and have an asterisk next to his title #8. He's already the greatest, and I think he has more championships left in him.

Also, if anyone was in any doubt that Bottas' incompetence has cost his team the WDC this year, this should put it beyond doubt. Perez was able to hold up Hamilton for 6 seconds on a shot set of softs. That, as it turns out, was crucial in keeping Verstappen inside Hamilton's window for the subsequent VSC period. Imagine if Bottas was actually a factor in this race and had done the same to Verstappen - it would have been put beyond all doubt.
